Objective:To assess the clinical validity, reliability, and practicability of treating cervical shoulder myofascial pain syndrome with a triple puncture at myofascial trigger points combined with iontophoresis, with the goal of providing a secure, valid, affordable, and expedient method for clinical treatment and expanding the evidence based medical basis. Methods:The research comprised 68 individuals who matched the requirements and were selected at random to two groups of 34 patients each.Triple puncture at myofascial trigger points was used in the treatment group along with iontophoresis therapy, whereas conventional acupuncture and iontophoresis therapy were used in the control group.1 time/day,6 times/week,2 courses of treatment(1 week/course).Throughout therapy, three time points(before treatment, after one course, and after two courses)were recorded, and data from the baseline period were collected before treatment for analysis and comparison, while data from 1 course and 2 courses of treatment were collected after treatment, and McGill Pain Questionnaire Short Form(SF-MPQ,PPI,VAS,PRI)scores,Northwick Park(NPQ)scores,Chronic soft tissue injury scores and adverse events were assessed and the efficacy of the two groups was evaluated.Results:1.The differences were not significant(P>0.05) and comparable according to the basic information collected on the duration of illness and personnel characteristics of the two groups, which were evaluated in a standardized and rational statistical manner prior to the study treatment.2.This research comprised 68 individuals with CMPS,including 34 in the therapy group and 34 in the control group.Patients in both groups completed this clinical treatment process with no shedding and no adverse events during the period. The overall efficacy analysis revealed that 32 of the 34 patients in the treatment group had clinical efficacy, with a total effective rate of 94.12%,including 21 cases of organizati onal processes and 3 cases of clinical cure;29 of the 34 control subjects had therapeutic effectiveness, with such an overall effective rate of 85.29%,including 9 cases of significant efficacy and 2 cases of clinical cure. The difference was statistical significance(P<0.05),demonstrating that the triple puncture group’s effectiveness was most notable when compared to the group receiving traditional acupuncture.3.The SF-MPQ(PPI,VAS,PRI),NPQ,and Chronic soft tissue injury scores ratings of the therapy group and those of the control group were quantitatively compared before treatment, and the changes were not statistically significant(P>0.05)and could be compared. The three sets of data scores of the two groups were assessed and compared within groups at three distinct times—before treatment, after one session of therapy, and after two courses of treatment.Scores have decreased and variations were statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that both treatment groups can provide good improvement in the clinical manifestations and complication symptoms of CMPS patients along with the treatment; The differences between the treatment and control groups were statistically significant(P<0.05)when the three scores were assessed after 1 and 2 sessions respectively, and the scores were at a lower level in the treatment group.Showing that the treatment group was more clinically effective in the treatment of the disease;During the same length of time under treatment, the treatment group outperformed the control group in terms of clinical efficacy in treating the condition.Conclusion:1.Triple puncture of myofascial trigger points combined with ionto phoresis can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with cervical shoulder myofascial pain syndrome.2.Triple puncture of myofascial trigger points combined with ionto phoresis has the advantages of high efficacy, and fast-acting for cervical shoulder myofascial pain syndrome, and is simple, inexpensive, safe, and reliable, and is worth promoting in clinical treatment.
