Study On The Charavteristics Of Prescriptions For The Treatment Of Deficiency Labour In Waitai Miyao Fang

Objective:Wai Tai Mi Yao Fang cites and preserves a large number of documents from before the Tang Dynasty and plays an important role in the understanding of deficiency labor,and the prescriptions for treating deficiency labor diseases recorded in it bring together the experience of many medical practitioners who treated deficiency labor diseases before the Tang Dynasty.There is still little research on this book and on deficiency labor.By collating and analysing the treatises on deficiency labor in this book,it is possible to understand the understanding of deficiency labor by many medical practitioners before the Tang Dynasty and to explore the characteristics of their prescriptions for treating deficiency labor,with a view to providing reference for the clinical treatment of deficiency labor.Methods:1.This study is a compilation of the writings on the treatment of deficiency labour in the Wai Tai Mi Yao Fang from the Tang and pre-Tang dynasties.Using documentary analysis,it analyses the academic thinking and treatment characteristics of deficiency labour by various medical practitioners and compares the characteristics of the treatment of deficiency labour by medical practitioners before the Tang dynasties.2.The first step is to screen out the relevant prescriptions and medicines for the treatment of deficiency labor in Wai Tai Mi Yao Fang,and after collating and standardising them,enter them into the TCM Heritage Assist Platform(v2.5)for data mining to explore the theoretical and prescription characteristics of the treatment of deficiency labor in this book in terms of frequency of drug use,attribution to the meridians,four natures,five flavors of drugs,common drug groups and association rules,cluster analysis.Results:1.A total of 242 prescriptions were collected,from 18 works,14 of which are no longer available.The formulas for the treatment of deficiency labour contained in the book reflect the academic ideas of harmonizing the internal organs,promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,seasonally appropriate,"if there is deficiency,the son should be tonified",and helping to dispel evil.2.Through data mining,it is found that the top five herbs used most frequently are cinnamon,roasted licorice,ginseng,poria and dihuang.For cold diseases,cinnamon,roasted licorice,ginseng,poria,dihuang and angelica are commonly used,while for hot diseases,poria,roasted licorice,scutellaria,dihuang,ginger and gypsum are mostly used.3.In this book,the most commonly used prescriptions for treating deficiency labor are those for tonifying deficiency,clearing heat and warming the lining.They are mainly used to enter the spleen and kidney meridians;warming herbs are used most frequently,followed by cold,flat and hot herbs;sweet-tasting herbs are most commonly used,followed by pungent and bitter herbs.4."Roasted licorice and cinnamon" is the most common pair,commonly used pairs and groups of drugs are mostly combinations of high frequency drugs,with different dosages of drugs having different meanings in combination.Conclusion:1.Wai Tai Mi Yao Fang provides an understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of deficiency labour: it is believed that the etiology and pathogenesis of deficiency labour are complex,with a mixture of deficiency and reality,with deficiency of qi,blood,yin and yang in the internal organs being the main cause,and deficiency of the spleen and kidneys being the main cause,and deficiency of the spleen and kidneys being the main cause.This is the basis for the later understanding of the external causes of deficiency labour,which is inherited from the previous understanding of deficiency labour and added to it.2.Wai Tai Mi Yao Fang is characterized by the use of medicines in the grouping of prescriptions for the treatment of deficiency labour: sweet is the main ingredient in the treatment of deficiency labor,with emphasis on nourishing the spleen and stomach;bitter and pungent are used together,with appropriate ascending and descending,to regulate the qi flow and warm the qi and blood;pungent and sweet are used together,with the method of transforming yang,so that the effect of warming yang is obvious;cold and warm are used together,with a combination of moistening and drying,so that both yin and yang can be tonified and the vital energy can be protected.In this book,the formulae are exquisitely dispensed,with the same effect,and the emphasis is on the combination;if the medicine is the same but the dosage is different,the efficacy of the formulae will change.3.Wai Tai Mi Yao Fang contains the relevant treatises and prescriptions from 18 works,including Su Nui Jing,Xiao Pin Fang,Fan Wang Fang,and Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang,laying the foundation for future generations to understand deficiency labour.Such as Su Nui Jing advocates "prolonging life" and creates formulas for tonifying the four seasons;Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang advocates deficiency due to overwork and focuses on tonifying the liver and kidneys;Beiji Qianjin Yao Fang and Qianjin Yi Fang are more detailed in their classification,believing that deficiency labour starts with the heart and kidneys being affected by evil,and treatment is mainly for the heart and kidneys;Yannian Fang believes that "stasis" can cause deficiency,and treatment is based on warming and invigorating the blood,etc.
