Objective:To investigate the effect of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection on the serum uric acid(UA)levels in hospitalized patients. Methods:From January2021 to December 2021,426 patients hospitalized in the Gastrointestinal Ward of the Department of Gastroenterology, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were collected. The results of urea carbon breath test or biopsy were used to judge Hp infection. The differences in age, gender, body mass index(BMI),UA,total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein(LDL)and triglyceride(TG)between positive and negative patients were compared. At the same time, the patients were divided into Hp type I and type II group according to the results of serological examination. The differences of clinical indicators in patients with different genotypes of Hp infection were compared. Results:Breath test and biopsy results suggest that the total infection rate of Hp was 32.6%,including 39.1%in males and 26.1%in females. The infection rate in males was higher than that in females,~2=8.191,P=0.004,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in the UA level between Hp infection positive and negative patients, and the UA level of positive patients was higher than that of negative patients(P<0.05).Serological results showed that 242 patients in the type I group and 59 patients in the type II group. There were significant differences in BMI between patients with type I and type II infection(P<0.05),but no significant differences in age, gender,UA,LDL,TC and TG.Conclusions:There is a certain difference in the UA level between patients with positive and negative Hp infection, and the level of positive patients is higher. The correlation between the two needs to be further studied. There were differences in BMI levels among different genotype of Hp infection.
