Objective:To compare the metabolic indexes of adolescent PCOS women and adult PCOS women, and to explore the differences of metabolic indexes. Methods:A total of 148 women diagnosed with PCOS were collected from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from October 2020 to December 2022.According to age group,49 cases under 19 years old were in the adolescent group.99 patients aged 19-45 years were adults. The collected clinical data and test results were input into Excel tables,SPSS21.0 software was used for statistical analysis,and=0.05 was used as the test level for comparison between groups. The measurement data were tested for normality by Shapiro-Wilk method.Measurement data conforming to normal distribution were expressed as(mean±standard deviation),and independent sample t test was used for comparison between groups.Measurement data inconsistent with normal distribution were described by median(25th percentile,75th percentile),and comparison between groups was performed by Mann-Whitney U test.Results:(1)The incidence of abnormal menstruation in adolescent group was higher than that in adult group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);The incidence of acne in the youth group was significantly higher than that in the adult group(P<0.05),acne tended to decrease with age; There was no significant difference in the incidence of hirsutism between adolescent group and adult group(P>0.05),the incidence of hirsutism was similar in adolescent and adult females.(2)LH,LH/FSH,T,FT and other indexes in the youth group were higher than those in the adult group, showing statistical significance(P<0.05);FAI index in adult group was higher than that in youth group, and there was statistical significance(P<0.05);There were no significant differences in FSH,PRL,E2,SHBG and other indexes between adolescent and adult groups, showing no statistical significance(P>0.05).(3)The indexes of FBG,FINS,HOMA-IR,LDL-C,TG and TC in the adolescent group were lower than those in the adult group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);DHEAS,17OHP4 index, the adolescent group was higher than the adult group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).HDL-C index showed no significant difference between adolescent group and adult group(P>0.05).(4)There were no significant differences in waist circumference, hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio and BMI between adolescent and adult groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The levels of FBG,TC,TG,LDL-C,DHEAS,FAI,FINS and HOMA-IR in adolescent PCOS patients are lower than those in adult PCOS patients, but the level of fasting blood glucose in PCOS patients is higher and tends to deteriorate over time.Lipid, total cholesterol,LDL and triglyceride indexes increase with age.
