Objective:To explore the factors associated with the prognosis of epilepsy in patients with low-grade glioma with epilepsy. Methods :The clinical data of 110 patients with low-grade glioma with epilepsy admitted by the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from December 2012 to January 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. After the postoperative follow-up of 2-3 years,Engel grading was used to evaluate the prognosis of epilepsy, and grade I was a good prognosis, and II.~IV.was a poor prognosis.SPSS26.0 was used for statistical analysis, and gender, age, preoperative epilepsy course, preoperative seizure frequency, postoperative application of antiepileptic drugs, tumor location, degree of resection, pathological grade, pathological type, proliferative index(ki-67),radiotherapy and chemotherapy, tumor recurrence were analyzed by univariate logistic regression, and the meaningful indicators of univariate analysis were then included in Logistic for multivariate analysis, with P<0.05 as the difference was statistically significant. Results:Among the 110 patients,74 had a good prognosis for epilepsy and 36 had a poor prognosis. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the degree of tumor resection, preoperative epilepsy course, and proliferation index(ki-67)were independent risk factors for poor postoperative epilepsy control in patients with low-grade glioma with epilepsy, and postoperative radiotherapy was a protective factor. Conclusion : The degree of tumor resection, preoperative epilepsy course, proliferative index(Ki-67),and postoperative radiotherapy were associated with epilepsy in patients with low-grade glioma with epilepsy, and total tumor resection during surgery, short duration of preoperative epilepsy, low proliferation index, and postoperative conventional radiotherapy could reduce the incidence of epilepsy and improve prognosis.
