Research On The Current Situation Of Health Resources And Infection Management In Primary Dental Institutions (Taking Yecheng County As An Example)

Objective:To study the health resources and hospital infection management of stomatological institutions in Yecheng County,find out the existing problems and deficiencies,analyze the causes,and put forward targeted improvement strategies,so as to provide reference for optimizing the allocation of health resources and building the evaluation index system of hospital infection control in primary stomatological institutions.Method:The questionnaire was designed according to "Health Resources Questionnaire of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region","Technical specifications for Disinfection and Sterilization of Oral Instruments" and "Technical Specifications for Disinfection of Medical Institutions :WS/T 367-2012 of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China".The survey method was used and the questionnaire was collected on the site.Results:(1)Health resources:by the end of 2022,there were 15 stomatological institutions in Yecheng County,including 3 public institutions(20.00%)and 12 private institutions(80.00%);At present,the diagnosis and treatment projects are mainly in oral medicine,prosthodontics,and alveolar surgery-related diseases.There were 100 dental workers,including 19(19.00%)from public institutions and 81(81.00%)from private institutions;There are differences in the practice structure between public and private institutions.(2)Hospital infection management:there are differences between medical staff in public and private institutions wearing protective face screens or goggles when cleaning instruments;There were no differences between public and private institutions in spatial layout,disinfection management and disinfection and sterilization effect detection.The qualified rate of disinfection management is 40.00%-100%,and the qualified rate of disinfection and sterilization effect detection is26.67%-100%.Conclusions:In terms of the number of institutions,private dental institutions have become the main body of dental services in Yecheng County.The number of dental medical institutions per 10000 population,the number of dental medical institutions per square kilometer,and the ratio of dental practitioners(assistant)to population were lower than the average level of Xinjiang and China.The ratio of dental staff to medical staff was 1:1.31,which did not meet the requi-rements of the Ministry of health of 1:2.The education level of medical staff was low.Therefore,the health department should pay attention to the development of primary dental medical institutions,pay attention to the cultivation of talents,attract talents,and avoid brain drain.It is necessary to improve and strengthen the basic hardware equipment of primary dental medical institutions,enrich the connotation construction,build the evaluation system of hospital infection management,and strengthen the supervision,so as to provide a better hardware foundation and a safe diagnosis and treatment environment for the development of primary dental medical institutions.
