Hypericum Henryi is a shrub belonging to the genus Hypericum of the Guttiferae family,which is mainly distributed in Guizhou,western and central Yunnan and only grow in China.As a local specialty Chinese medicine,Hypericum Henryi is used by people in Yunnan Province to treat hepatitis,and also has the effects of curing wind heat cold,sore throat,stones,nephritis,etc.,but its effective ingredients for treatment are still unclear.The discovery of new drugs cannot be separated from the study of natural products.Modern Chinese medicine analyzes the complex components of traditional Chinese medicine through various advanced technological means,which is the only way for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.Based on the diverse structures and biological activities of the compounds,the aerial parts of Hypericum Henryi were collected from Yunnan Province,which were extracted with dichloromethane solvent by percolation procedure and then experienced isolations and Chemical structure.In this study,the compounds were obtained by the dichloromethane extract of Hypericum Henryi,which were separated by silica gel column,Sephadex LH-20 column,ODS column,MCI column,preparative HPLC,etc.The chemical co mpositions were analyzed by thin layer chromatography(TLC)and high perform ance liquid chromatography(HPLC),and the structure of the compounds were id entified by 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),high resolution mass spectrometry,ultraviolet spectrum and other means.Finally,20 compounds were i solated and identified from Hypericum Henryi,including 4 Polycyclic Polyprenyla ted Acyl Phloroglucinols,4 pyrones and 12 xanthones.These compounds are Tom oeone A(1),Hypercohin K(2),Tomoeone E(3),Hyperascyrone F(4),Hyperter penoid A(5),Hypermonone A(6),Hypermonone C(7),Hypermonone F(8),2,7,4a-trimethoxy-1,4,4a,8b-tet-rahydrodibenzo-p-dioxin-4-one(9),Sampsone B(10),Hyperd-ioxane B(11),5-O-methyl-2-depr-eny Irheediaxanthone B(12),6,11-dihydro xy-3,3-dimethylpyrano[2,3-c]xanthen-7(3H)-one(13),Nigrolineaxanthones I(14),5-O-meth-yliso-Jacareubin(15),1,7-dihydrox-yl-4-methoxyxanthone(16),1,7-dihydr oxylxant-hone(17),2-hydroxyl-5-methoxyxa-nthone(18),2-hydroxylxanthone(19),2,3-dim-ethoxyxanthone(20),All the compounds except compound 13 were isol ated fro-m Hypericum Henryi for the first time.The research results of this pape r provide important information for further development and utilization of the tra ditional Chinese medicine value of Hypericum Henryi.
