Objective:Explore the depression, anxiety, cognitive function, and suicidal ideation status of adolescent depression patients with and without anxiety symptoms, and understand the correlation between cognitive function and suicidal ideation,in order to provide valuable reference for the prevention and treatment of adolescent depression patients. Methods:Sixty adolescent depression patients aged 12-18 who were admitted to the Department of Mental Health at Lanzhou University Second Hospital from July2022 to February 2023 were selected. The patients were divided into anxiety depression group and non anxiety depression group based on whether the anxiety somatized factor in the 17 Hamilton Depression Scale was≥7,with 30 cases in each group.Firstly, explain the purpose, methods, and significance of the study to patients or their families, and promise the safety and confidentiality of this study. After the patients understand and sign the informed consent form, two professionally trained psychiatrists will score the two groups of patients on 17 Hamilton Depression Scale,Hamilton Anxiety Scale,Chinese version of Beck Suicide Intention Scale, and Montreal Cognitive Function Assessment Scale,To quantitatively evaluate the anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, suicidal ideation, and cognitive function(visual space and executive function, naming, delayed memory, attention, language, abstraction, and directional ability)of the two groups of patients. Finally, all collected data were statistically analyzed using t-tests,U-tests,Spearman correlation analysis, and other methods in SPSS 27.0 software, and relevant conclusions were ultimately drawn. Results:A total of 60 patients were ultimately enrolled, with 30 in the study group and 30 in the control group. The study found that(1)there was no statistically significant difference in the general information(age, gender, nationality, registered residence, dominant hand, whether the patient was an only child, grade and years of education)between the anxiety depression group and the non anxiety depression group(P>0.05);There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the quantitative scores of the Hamilton Depression Scale(30.83±5.491 vs21.40±5.165,t=5.771,P<0.01),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(30.22±9.254vs 18.55±7.626,t=4.469,P<0.01),and Beck Suicide Intention Scale(22(19;30)vs 18(0;23),Z=2.905,P=0.004)(P<0.05);Visual space and executive function(4(2;5)vs3(2;4),Z=-1.522,P=0.128),naming(3(3;3)vs3(3;3),Z=-1.532,P=0.126),delayed memory(4(3;4)vs3(3;4),Z=-0.325,P=0.725),attention(5(4;6)vs5(5;6),Z=-0.988,P=0.323),language(2(2;2)vs2(2;3),Z=-0.423),,P=-0.672),Abstract(1(0;2)vs1(1;1.75),Z=-0.639,There was no statistically significant difference between the scores of P=0.523)and directional force(5(4;6)vs 5(4.25;5.75),Z=-0.605,P=0.545)(P>0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the overall Montreal cognitive function score between the two groups(25(21;26)vs 23(22;25),Z=-0.895,P=0.371)(P>0.05).(2)After analyzing the correlation between various scales in the anxiety depression group,it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation, with a moderate to strong correlation(r_s=0.617,P=0.000);There is a significant positive correlation between anxiety symptoms and suicidal ideation, with a strong correlation(r_s=0.744,P=0.000);There is no correlation between cognitive function and anxiety(r_s=0.040,P=0.797)and depressive symptoms(r_s=0.038,P=0.811);There is a significant negative correlation between cognitive function and suicidal ideation, with a moderate correlation(r_s=-0.507,P=0.032).Conclusion:(1)Adolescent depression patients with anxiety symptoms have more severe anxiety and depression symptoms compared to those without anxiety symptoms, and have stronger suicidal ideation.(2)There is no effective evidence to prove that there is a difference in cognitive function between adolescent depression patients with anxiety symptoms and those without anxiety symptoms.(3)The anxiety and depressive symptoms of adolescent depression patients are positively correlated with suicidal ideation. The more severe the patient’s anxiety or depressive symptoms are,the stronger their suicidal ideation is;Cognitive function is negatively correlated with suicidal ideation, and the lower the patient’s cognitive function, the stronger their suicidal ideation. |
