Objective:Explore the relationship between α-smooth muscle actin and mitochondrial fusion protein 2 expression and arteriovenous fistula stenosis. Methods:A total of 54 patients with end-stage renal disease who were admitted to the Department of Nephrology of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected for intravenous fistula,Among them,26 patients underwent venous fistula reconstruction due to arteriovenous fistula stenosis as intimal hyperplasia group(n=26).28 patients treated for primary venous fistula due to maintenance hemodialysis were classified as non-intimal hyperplasia group(n=28).General data and biochemical indexes of the two groups of patients were collected. The abandoned venous tissues of the two groups were retained.Hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining was used to measure the intima/media thickness ratio between the two groups. The expression levels of α-smooth muscle actin and mitochondrial fusion protein 2 in each group were detected by Western Blot.SPSS 26.0 was used to statistically analyze the data, and each group of data was expressed as mean±standard deviation,P<0.05 was statistically significant.Results:1.The ratio of intima thickness to media thickness in hyperplastic group(2.93 ± 0.48)was higher than that in non-intimal hyperplasia group(0.13±0.01).2.The expression levels of α-smooth muscle actin and mitochondrial fusion protein 2 in proliferative group were lower than those in non-intimal hyperplasia group. Conclusions:The low expression of α-smooth muscle actin and mitochondrial fusion protein 2 may be related to intimal hyperplasia.
