Objective:To observe the relationship between urine pH and postoperative double J stent encrustation in patients with calcium oxalate stones and to explore its effect on double J stent encrustation. Methods:A total of 119 patients with mainly calcium oxalate stones treated at the Baoding NO.1 Central Hospital from September 2020 to August 2022 were retrospectively analyzed, relevant clinical data were collected, classified using the visual scoring method, and the double J stent encrustation were observed using scanning electron microscopy. The patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the encrustation. The relationship between urine pH and other data and encrustation in the two groups was statistically analyzed by t-test,chitest and logistic regression. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in age,BMI,the size of stone, duration of double J stent retention, residual stone or not, urinary red blood cell, urine specific gravity, urine protein, and complication rate between patients in the control group and the observation group. The urinary pH values in the observation group were concentrated at <5.5 or >6.5,while those in the control group were concentrated between 5.5 and 6.5,with statistically significant differences(χ2=38.666 P<0.05).The urinary tract infection rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(40.4% vs.16.1% χ2=8.694 P<0.05).Through logistic regression analysis,it was found that urinary tract infection and urine pH had a certain correlation with double J stent encrustation, and they were all positively correlated, that is,the more bacteria in the urine, the more serious the encrustation; When it is more alkaline, the encrustation is more serious. Conclusions:Urine pH has an effect on the encrustation of double J stent after operation for calcium oxalate stones.Urine that is too acidic or too alkaline can increase the risk of encrustation. To reduce the risk of encrustation,it is very important to keep the urine pH at 5.5-6.5.
