Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of post-auricular subperiosteal injection and intravenous injection of lidocaine in the treatment of high-frequency sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients’ tinnitus. Methods:Patients with high-frequency sudden sensorineural hearing loss accompanied by tinnitus in the department of otolaryngology at Cangzhou People’s Hospital from October 2021 to October 2022 were chosen and randomly divided into the post-auricular injection group(PT)and the intravenous injection group(IT),with 45 cases in each group. All groups were given a systemic drug regimen with reference to the "Guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of sudden deafness(2015)." The post-auricular injection group received basic treatment and 1 ml of 1% lidocaine injected into the post-auricular subperiosteal injection site once daily for 10 days.As a course of treatment, the intravenous injection group received basic treatment and 0.9% saline in 250 m L and 2% lidocaine in 10 m L intravenously once a day for 10 days. All patients completed Pure Tone Audiometry and the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory before and after treatment, and the Tinnitus Evaluation scale was completed by the same doctor. Before and after treatment, the high-frequency average hearing improvement value, hearing effect and total effective rate, and tinnitus effect and total effective rate of the two groups were evaluated.Results:1.The mean value of high-frequency hearing showed no significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P(29)0.05).The effective rates of hearing loss in the PT and IT groups were 62.22% and68.89%,separately.The difference in effective rates of hearing loss between the two groups was not statistically significant(P(29)0.05).2.The TEQ scores showed no statistically significant difference between the two groups of patients before and after treatment(P(29)0.05).According to the TEQ scale efficacy assessment criteria, the total tinnitus effective rate was 60.00% and 71.11% in the PT group and IT group, separately. The total tinnitus effective rate showed no significant difference between the two groups(P(29)0.05).3.The THI score between the two groups before and after treatment showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).According to the THI scale efficacy assessment criteria, the total tinnitus effective rates were53.33% and 64.44% in the PT and IT groups, separately. The difference in total effective rate between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:The efficacy of post-auricular subperiosteal injection of lidocaine is as effective as intravenous injection of lidocaine for treating high-frequency sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients’ tinnitus.Post-auricular subperiosteal injection is simple, with few side effects and a stable curative effect.
