The Efficacy Of Acupoint Application Of Ziyin Qianyang Prescription In Elderly Patients With Hypertension Of Yin Deficiency And Yang Hyperactivity Type

Objective:Through the intervention of acupoint application of Ziyin Qianyang Prescription on elderly patients with hypertension of Yin Deficiency and Yang Hyperactivity type,the effect of acupressure reduction and the improvement of clinical symptoms in Chinese medicine in these patients were observed,in order to provide some clinical evidence for this group of patients by the intervention.Methods:From June 14,2022 to December 31,2022,142 elderly patients with hypertension of Yin Deficiency and Yang Hyperactivity type who satisfied the inclusion and exclusion criteria and signed informed consent were chosen from the inpatient department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Geriatric Center.They were separated into a control group and a experimental group of 71 cases each by the randomized grouping method.The former received the western medicine treatment and care,while the later used acupoint application of Ziyin Qianyang Prescription,once a day for 6 to 8 hours.Both groups had 2 weeks of treatment.After 2 weeks,their clinic blood pressure,Chinese medicine signs scores were compared,the safety of clinical observation was evaluated and the data were statistically processed.Results:1.Pre-test comparison : There was no marked differences in the basic information,clinic blood pressure,total scores of TCM syndrome score and single score for all study participants(P>0.05),and these data were comparable.2.Comparison within the group after the test : The clinic blood pressure and the total TCM syndrome scores for both groups were markedly lower than pre-test scores(P<0.01).3.Comparison between groups after the test : The test group was markedly below the comparison group in respect of clinic blood pressure and total TCM symptoms scores(P<0.01).In terms of improving giddiness,painful headache,lumbar ache,weakness of the knees,feverish sensation over the five centers,heart palpitations,sleeplessness and otitus,the test group scored below the comparison group(P<0.05).In respect of improving amnesia,there was no obvious comparison between the two groups(P>0.05).The clinical hypotensive efficacy and the total efficacy rate of improving clinical symptoms in Chinese medicine in the test group were markedly high as compared to the control group(P<0.01).4.Safety assessment : There were no serious adverse reactions in either group during the trial,indicating a high level of safety for this intervention.Conclusion:The acupoint application of Ziyin Qianyang Prescription can effectively reduce blood pressure and improve the TCM clinical symptoms of elderly patients with hypertension of Yin Deficiency and Yang Hyperactivity type.It has high safety and can be clinically promoted.
