Objective: To explore the real data of cytogenetics of multiple myeloma patients in our center for many years from 2014 to 2021 to provide reference for the treatment and prognosis assessment of multiple myeloma.Methods: The clinical data of 420 patients with new-onset multiple myeloma admitted to the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University for 8 consecutive years were retrospectively collected,and common cytogenetic abnormalities such as hyperdiploidy,complex karyotype,1q21,RB1,D13S319,P53,IGH,t(14;16),t(4;14)and t(11;14)were analyzed.General clinical data,cytogenetic detection rate,positivity rate,positivity trend and comparison with domestic and international centers were retrospectively analyzed in patients with primary multiple myeloma treated in our center.Results: 1.Among 420 patients,a total of 278(66.2%)were perfected for cytogenetic testing,and the detection rates from 2014 to 2021 were: 8.1%,61.9%,26.1%,43.9%,84.6%,92.8%,94.4%,and 90.7%,respectively.2.The total positive rate of cytogenetic abnormalities was 61.9%(172/278)at 8years and 100.0%(3/3),65.4%,50.0%,51.7%,50.0%,71.9%,58.8%,and 67.3% from2014 to 2021,respectively.Among them,the total positive rate of conventional karyotype testing was 27.8%(67/241)and the total positive rate of FISH testing was63.6%(145/228).3.Among 420 patients,the high diploidy positive rate was 13.3%,the complex karyotype positive rate was 24.5%,and the positive rates of 1q21,RBI,D13S319,P53,IGH,t(14;16),t(4;14),and t(11;14)were divided into 47%,36.9%,38.7%,11.3%,27.3%,0.9%,10.1%,and 4.4%.Conclusion: 1.The cytogenetic detection rate and positive rate of new multiple myeloma patients in our center gradually increased.2.The overall positive rates of high diploidy,complex karyotype,RBI,D13S319,and P53 were basically the same compared with major centers in China and abroad.3.The positive rate of 1q21 was higher in our center,and the positive rates of t(14;16),t(4;14),and t(11;14)were lower.
