Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect and prognostic impact of transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with PNF technique on facial neuritis by applying facial palsy rating scale and neurophysiological indexes. To provide an early rehabilitation program for patients with facial neuritis;to provide a reference of stimulation parameters for transcranial magnetic treatment of facial neuritis;and to explore the possible mechanism of the therapeutic effect of transcranial magnetic combined with PNF technique on facial neuritis.Methods:Seventy-four patients with facial neuritis who attended the outpatient clinic and treatment area of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in a tertiary care hospital of Jilin University during November 2021 to December 2022 were collected. The random number table method was used to divide the above patients into conventional medical treatment group,PNF group and combined treatment group. The gender, age, disease duration, and facial paralysis side of each case were collected. All three groups were given conventional medical treatment from the day of consultation. After 7 days of disease duration, facial PNF technique was added to the PNF group, and facial PNF technique and TMS were added to the combined treatment group. Before and after treatment, the efficacy of the two groups was evaluated using the modified Portmann simple score and electromyography, and the results were compared within and between groups. Results:There was no statistical difference in the basic data of the two groups before treatment.Compared with before treatment, the modified Portmann score, latency and wave amplitude of compound muscle action potentials of each branch of the facial nerve improved to a certain extent in the three groups after treatment, and the severity of transient reflexes decreased compared with before, and the results were statistically different. In terms of the modified Portmann score, latency, and wave amplitude, the PNF group showed greater improvement in the indexes than the conventional medical treatment group. In terms of modified Portmann score, latency time, wave amplitude, and severity of transient reflex, the combined treatment group showed greater improvement than the PNF group(all P < 0.05).Conclusions:Conventional treatment has certain efficacy in the recovery of facial motor function in patients with facial neuritis, and conventional treatment combined with PNF treatment has significant effect in the recovery of facial motor function in patients with facial neuritis, and the combination of conventional treatment,PNF technique and transcranial magnetic stimulation technique has more significant effect. The combination of conventional treatment,PNF technique and transcranial magnetic stimulation technique is more effective. The combination of these three techniques can better restore the facial motor function of patients with facial palsy, reduce the sequelae and have a better prognosis.Among them, the transcranial magnetic stimulation technique was applied to peripheral facial palsy, providing certain stimulation parameters and treatment course reference. This clinical trial provides a more effective plan for the treatment of facial neuritis, and also provides scientific experimental data and theoretical basis, which has some clinical application value.
