Evaluation Of The Efficacy Of Bronchoscopic Interventional Therapy Combined With Stenting In The Treatment Of Airway Stenosis In Malignant Centers

Objective: To explore the therapeutic efficacy and surgical complications of metal and silicone stents with bronchoscopic intervention in the palliative care of malignant central airway stenosis.Methods: From January 2017 to January 2023,the relevant clinical data of patients who visited the hospital for central airway stenosis due to malignant tumors and concurrent airway stent placement treatment in Jiang Xi Chest Hospital were selected,and the general information of the cases(gender,age,tumor type,etc.)was collected,the changes of the clinical manifestations of the two airway stents under bronchoscopic intervention and dyspnea before and after placement were compared,the changes in the grade of shortness of breath and the degree of airway obstruction were evaluated,and the changes of arterial blood gas before and after placement were detected and analyzed.The occurrence of complications during and after stent placement was observed and analyzed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and surgery-related complications of the two airway stents.Results: A total of 35 patients with airway stenosis due to malignancy were included in this study,and airway stents were successfully placed(including 22 cases of metal stent placement and 13 cases of silicone stent placement).(1)After bronchoscopic interventional treatment and the placement of airway stents,the clinical manifestations of patients complaining of chest tightness and dyspnea were significantly relieved compared with preoperative(2)The blood gas analysis before and after stenting in the two groups increased oxygen partial pressure,oxygen saturation,carbon dioxide partial pressure decreased,shortness of breath,obstruction degree,etc.were improved,these clinical efficacy indicators were analyzed,the difference was statistically significant,(P-value<0.05)(3)The treatment efficacy between the two groups was not statistically significant,(P-value> 0.05),there was no difference in the treatment effect of metal stent and silicone stent in the treatment of MCAO(4)The incidence of granulation tissue hyperplasia stimulated by metal stent and silicone stent was statistically significant(P-value<0.05),and it could be considered that metal stent was more prone to granulation tissue growth.Conclusion: Metal stents and silicone stents have good effects on palliative care of malignant airway stenosis,and there is no significant difference in the treatment effect between the two,but metal stents are more likely to have granulation tissue hyperplasia than silicone stents.
