Research On Surrogacy From The Perspective Of Ethics

The proportion of infertility is on the rise due to social and environmental factors,dietary structure and other self problems.Some scholars believe that surrogacy has broadened the field of artificial assisted reproductive technology and promoted the faster development of science and technology.The emergence of surrogacy has brought good news to infertile patients,helped thousands of infertile families complete their desire to continue their offspring,played an inestimable role in family stability and social harmony,and played a certain role in promoting the orderly development of society and the realization of the national fertility policy.However,from the perspective of China’s current legal system,the measures for the administration of human assisted reproductive technology(2001)and the norms of human assisted reproductive technology(2004)prohibit relevant medical institutions and technicians from implementing surrogacy.The limitation of the forbidden scope of surrogacy can not completely prevent the occurrence of surrogacy,which will only lead to the underground survival of surrogacy.The crude medical conditions of underground surrogacy will damage the interests of both surrogacy parties,thus aggravating social injustice.Through thinking and in-depth analysis of the ethical problems caused by surrogacy,this paper tries to find a reasonable basis for surrogacy from an ethical perspective,and discusses the ethical principles and specific countermeasures that should be followed in the implementation of surrogacy,so as to promote the orderly and healthy development of surrogacy.In the first and second parts,this paper expounds and summarizes the connotation,classification,characteristics and positions of surrogacy all over the world.The third and fourth parts reasonably analyze what ethical problems may arise from surrogacy and the reasons for ethical problems.The impact of traditional conception and surrogacy;Challenge traditional marriage and family relationships;Forcing reproductive behavior towards commercialization;This paper systematically analyzes the social problems such as the disappearance of the uniqueness of parent-child relationship.Different types of surrogacy have different social effects.Then in the fifth part,it puts forward the ethical principles that surrogacy should follow and the measures to solve it.Surrogacy carries out ethical regulations on surrogacy from the four bioethics principles of respecting the principle of autonomy,the principle of non harm,the principle of advantage and the principle of justice.Surrogacy not only helps people in real need,but also produces some behaviors that violate morality and law.Some specific measures need to be taken in response to these behaviors.First of all,due to the proliferation of underground surrogacy,some people are crazy about money,which leads to the deformity of surrogacy.The national laws and regulations are not perfect enough,and more perfect laws and regulations are needed to regulate surrogacy.Secondly,the development of network technology leads to the random dissemination of illegal surrogacy advertisements,which leads people who lack the awareness of discrimination to fall into the commercial trap,and the dissemination of medical reproductive information needs the strict supervision of relevant departments.Finally,the society should establish a reproductive ethics committee to improve people’s awareness of social responsibility.Strengthen people’s knowledge and concept of surrogacy,severely condemn malicious surrogacy that does not comply with morality,ethics and law,and clarify the ethical problems caused by surrogacy through the above measures to guide the correct direction for surrogacy.
