With the construction of the health Health Zhongyuan,the rural middle-aged groups also have more and more concerns about their own health problems.The middle-aged group is the top beam column of the home,and their individual health information literacy profoundly impacts health decisions of their family members.To help improve health information literacy of middle-aged groups in rural areas,improve their personal and family well-being indices,consolidate the achievements of poverty-rejection,promote the early realization of Health China,and improve the research system of health information literacy,this paper is based on middle-aged groups with agricultural household registration,living in rural areas for a long time and aged 45-59 years,using a combination of questionnaires and in-depth interviews,To investigate the status of health information literacy among the middle-aged group in a rural area of Yinzhang village,Yichuan City,Henan Province,China.Questionnaire based on the health information literacy rating scale developed by the domestic scholar Wang Fu combined with the Chinese family health big data report2020,a questionnaire on the current status of health information literacy in a rural middle-aged group in Henan was designed autonomously from the four dimensions of awareness,acquisition,evaluation,and application.A questionnaire survey was conducted from January 2022 to February 2022,and 336 questionnaires were distributed,of which 319 valid questionnaires had an effective rate of 95%,and the survey data were analyzed by using statistical analysis.The study found that health information literacy needs to be improved in a rural middle-aged group,as reflected by poor health information perceptions,low acquisition skills,lack of evaluation,and poor application skills.Factors affecting health information literacy among rural middle-aged groups attribution: at the subject level,first by using t-test and ANOVA,we found that educational level and annual income had significant effects on health information literacy among rural middle-aged groups;Second,rural middle-aged groups lack initiative and have fewer health information pathways;In addition information tool skills were insufficient to master and individuals experienced experiential distress.At the external level,there was a proliferation of false information involving the health domain under the post epidemic;The form of local media dissemination of health messages lacks innovativeness;Fewer health lectures and plugged information channels were given in rural communities;The village health institute lacked professional talents for health preaching.Therefore,the article proposes a path to improve health information literacy for middle-aged groups in rural areas from government,media,and individual levels.
