ObjectivesThis study conducted a cross-sectional questionnaire survey on 34 vaccination clinics in 12 counties(districts)in 6 provinces across the country. The aim was to understand the willingness of parents of 0-3 year old children in China to receive non immunization planned vaccines, explore the factors that affect parents’ willingness and choice to receive non immunization planned vaccines, and discuss the reasons for their existence. To provide scientific basis for further improving the prevention and vaccination of non-immunization program vaccines, and to provide a basis for targeted health education and promotion work.MethodsFrom February 2019 to January 2020,parents of 0-3 year old children were selected from 34 vaccination clinics in 12 districts and counties of 6 provinces in China to conduct a questionnaire survey, collecting information such as parents’ willingness to receive non EPI vaccines, basic information about the child, basic information about the child’s parents, and parents’ awareness and attitude towards non EPI vaccines.Multiple factor stepwise forward logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of non-immunization program vaccination willingness.ResultThis study ultimately included 3291 parents of children,of whom 3176(96.5%)expressed willingness to receive non EPI vaccines for their children. The results of multivariate analysis showed that before and after vaccination, parents who were informed by the vaccination staff that non EPI vaccines could be considered(OR=0.66,95%CI:0.45-0.97)were more willing to receive non EPI vaccines, and parents who believed it was necessary to vaccinate their children with non EPI vaccines were more willing to receive non EPI vaccines(OR=0.07,95%CI:0.04-0.12).Conclusions1.Parents of children aged 0-3 in China have a high willingness to receive non EPI vaccines.2.Whether the vaccination staff inform the children of the non EPI vaccines that can be considered before and after vaccination, whether it is necessary to vaccinate the children with non EPI vaccines are important factors that affect the willingness of parents of 0-3 year old children in China to receive non EPI vaccines.
