Objective:To observe the effect of music therapy on oral motor function, speech intelligibility and language ability of children with spastic cerebral palsy, and to evaluate the effect of music therapy on speech language ability of children with spastic cerebral palsy; To observe the effect of music therapy on individual social development quotient(DQ)and communication function of children with spastic cerebral palsy; To evaluate the effect of music therapy on communication ability in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods:Forty children with spastic cerebral palsy from the Children’s Rehabilitation Department of Wuxi Children’s Hospital were selected. They were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 20 cases in each group. The control group was given speech training for 40 minutes, and the observation group was given speech training and music therapy for 20 minutes each, once a day,5 days a week, for 12 consecutive weeks. The efficacy was evaluated before treatment,4 weeks after treatment,8 weeks after treatment and 12 weeks after treatment.Lu Hongyun’s Oral Motor Function Assessment was used to evaluate the oral motor function of children;Huang Zhaoming Han Zhijuan’s Glossary for Assessment of Articulation Phonetic Ability was used to assess children’s speech intelligibility;CRRC version of S-S language retardation assessment(S-S method)was used to assess the children’s language ability stage;Fudan Chinese Communication Function Classification System(CFCS)was used to evaluate children’s communication function;Gesell development diagnosis schedules(GDDS)was used to assess the individual social behavior DQ of children. Results:In the end,37 children completed all the tests, including 19 in the observation group and 18 in the control group.1.Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of communication function, personal social behavior DQ.oral motor function.speech intelligibility and language ability(all P>0.05),which was comparable.2.The oral motor function and speech intelligibility of the children in the observation group after 8 weeks of treatment and the two groups after 12 weeks of treatment were improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group after 12 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).3.After 12 weeks of treatment, the language ability of children in both groups was improved compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in language ability between the two groups at each time point after treatment(P>0.05).4.After 12 weeks of treatment, the communication function of children in both groups was improved compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).and after 12 weeks of treatment. The observation group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).5.The individual social behavior DQ scores of children in the observation group after 8 weeks of treatment and children in the two groups after 12 weeks of treatment were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group after 8 weeks and 12 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Compared with simple speech training, music therapy combined with speech training can more effectively improve the speech language ability of children with spastic cerebral palsy, and has an earlier effect on oral motor function and speech articulation, which is conducive to improving the communication ability of children with spastic cerebral palsy.2.Compared with simple speech training, music therapy combined with speech training can more effectively improve the individual social behavior DQ and communication function of spastic cerebral palsy, and take effect earlier in the individual social behavior DQ,thus effectively improving the communication ability of children with spastic cerebral palsy.
