Due to the influence of hearing loss,hearing-impaired people not only experienced unimaginable inconvenience to their social interaction and communication but also make them not well integrated into mainstream society.Adolescent society is already in a stage of emotional sensitivity with rich feelings, and hearing impairment will bring them a series of psychological problems easily, which include rebellious psychology, loneliness, rejection by mainstream society, low self-esteem,etc.In short,hearing-impaired adolescents need to get more good guidance and help with their communication disorders.Based on the physiological, psychological, and cognitive characteristics of hearingimpaired adolescents, this study combined Self-determination Theory with Technology Acceptance Model, and built a conceptual model which integrates the relationship among the hearing-impaired adolescents’ perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, autonomy, relatedness, and intention of communication software using.Through the verification and analysis of this model, the design strategy of a communication software for the hearingimpaired adolescent is being proposed.Under the guidance of the above design strategies, the software requirements for positioning and function are confirmed based on the target user interview. The design practice is also made from four dimensions:interface experience, task experience, behavioral experience, and life experience. Finally, the effectiveness of the prototype product has been verified. This paper combines Technology Acceptance Model and Positive Experience Designrelated concepts and makes an exploratory research in the field of software applications for hearing-impaired adolescents. In addition, the output of design practice also helps the hearingimpaired adolescent to adapt the society and communicate with each other, which has good value for design practice and theoretical application. |
