Clinical Study On Huatan Zhuyu Decoction In The Treatment Of Hypertension Complicated With Carotid Plaque Of Phlegm And Blood Stasis

Objictive: Huatan Zhuyu decoction combined with Western Medicine in the treatment of essential Hypertension with carotid plaque of phlegm and Blood stasis,To observe the changes of TCM symptoms,blood pressure,blood lipids and carotid plaques before and after treatment of patients.To explore the clinical efficacy of Huatan Zhuyu decoction in the treatment of hypertension complicated with carotid plaque of phlegm and blood stasis,To broaden research ideas and treatment methods for the treatment of hypertension combined with carotid plaque in Chinese medicine.Methods: The study included 66 patients who met the criteria in the outpatient clinic and ward of the Department of Cardiology,Linyi traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2021 to December 2022.The patients signed informed consent,adopts the principle of random and double-blind,According to the proportion of 1:1,the patients were divided into treatment group(n = 33)and control group(n = 33).Two groups of patients were given basic treatment of western medicine,The treatment group took traditional Chinese medicine decoction on the basis of the control group,After three courses of treatment for 12 weeks,The changes of blood pressure,intima-media thickness of carotid artery,Crouse score of carotid plaque,blood lipid,homocysteine and TCM syndrome score were observed before and after treatment,And use statistical tools for statistical analysis.Result:1.Blood pressure: Comparison of blood pressure between the two groups before and after treatment,The systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05);Comparison between the two groups: The SBP in the treatment group decreased more significantly compared with the control group and the difference was significant(P<0.05).DBP decreased in both groups,However,there was no obvious advantage in the treatment group compared with the control group,and there was no statistical significance(P > 0.05).2.Carotid plaques: Compared with two groups of patients before and after treatment groups,After treatment,carotid artery IMT was reversed in varying degrees,and there were therapeutic effects in both groups(P < 0.05).Comparison between groups after treatment: The reversal effect of carotid IMT in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The carotid plaque score(Crouse score)in both groups before and after treatment was lower than that before treatment,There were therapeutic effects in both groups(P<0.05).Comparison between groups after treatment: The treatment group had a better effect on plaque score reduction than the control group(P<0.05).3.Blood lipids: Compared with two groups of patients before and after treatment groups,Cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and triglyceride(TG)decreased significantly after treatment,High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)was higher than that before treatment(P<0.05).Comparison between groups after treatment:The levels of TC,TG and LDL-C in the treatment group decreased more than those in the control group,The increase of HDL-C was more obvious,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).4.Homocysteine(HCY): Compared with two groups of patients before and after treatment groups,HCY after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups after treatment:The treatment group than the control group on the improvement of the HCY has more advantages and has statistical significance(P<0.05).5.Symptom score of traditional Chinese medicine: Comparison between the two groups before and after the total score of TCM symptoms,The scores after treatment were significantly better than those before treatment(P<0.05).The total symptom score of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The improvement of clinical symptoms in the treatment group is more effective than that in the control group.6.There were no obvious adverse reactions during the treatment of the patients in this study.Conclusion: Compared with the control group treated with conventional western medicine,The treatment group has a better effect in the treatment of hypertension with carotid plaque with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome,can significantly improve patients’ blood pressure,blood lipids,carotid plaque score and TCM clinical symptoms and other related indicators.There was no obvious adverse reaction,Improve the quality of life of patients and effectively improve the prognosis.
