Clinical Observation Of Jianpi Xiaoke Recipe In The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Spleen Deficiency And Heat Stasis

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Jianpi Xiaoke recipe in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with spleen deficiency and heat stasis,in order to find out a new idea for the treatment of type 2 diabetes,and to provide effective basis for clinical promotion.Methods:A total of 64 patients with type 2 diabetes who met the research standard of spleen deficiency and heat stasis in the outpatient clinic and ward of Department of Endocrinology,Shandong Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2020 to September 2022 were collected.Sixty-four patients were randomly divided into control group(n=32)and treatment group(n=32).The control group was treated with metformin and the treatment group was treated with Jianpi Xiaoke recipe on the basis of the control group.the observation time of both groups was 2 months.Statistics and records of two groups of patients before and after treatment of fasting blood glucose(FPG),2 hours postprandial blood glucose(2h PG),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),body weight(Wt),body mass index(BMI),fasting insulin level(FINS),TCM clinical syndrome score and other clinical efficacy indicators,and to determine the efficacy of TCM syndrome.The safety indexes such as three routine tests,liver function and kidney function were counted,and the insulin resistance level index(HOMA-IR)and islet β cell function index(HOMA-β)of the two groups before and after treatment were calculated.Finally,the data were collected and analyzed by SPSS software.Results:(1)before treatment,there was no significant difference in general data and clinical indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)after treatment,the indexes of blood glucose,including FPG,2h PG and Hb A1 c,were significantly lower in the treatment group than those in the control group,the indexes of blood lipids,including TG,TC and LDL-C,decreased significantly.TG in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,but there was no significant difference in TC and LDL-C between the two groups.And the body weight indexes including body weight and BMI in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group.HOMA-IR decreased,FINS and HOMA-β increased,and the treatment group was superior to the control group,and the TCM syndrome score was significantly lower than that in the control group.The effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment group was 96.77%,which was better than that in the control group(76.67%)(P<0.05).(3)the safety indexes included that there were no obvious changes and abnormalities in the three routine tests,liver and renal functions,including alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),urea nitrogen(BUN)and creatinine(Cr),and no obvious abnormal changes in other vital signs,and no adverse reactions such as allergy,nausea and diarrhea occurred in the course of treatment.Conclusion:Jianpi Xiaoke recipe combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2diabetes with spleen deficiency and heat stasis has a good effect in reducing blood glucose,regulating blood lipids,reducing body weight,improving isletβ cell function and insulin resistance(IR),and can improve the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,such as thirst,epigastric distension and tightness to some extent.the therapeutic effect is better than that of metformin alone,and the safety is good.There were almost no adverse reactions.
