Objective: To explore the effect of umbilicus moxibustion combined with transcutaneous electrical stimulation of acupoints in preventing and treating abdominal distension after total hip replacement. In order to provide more clinical effective programs for this disease. Methods: From December 2021 to December 2022,according to the inclusion criteria,62 patients with avascular necrosis were selected from the orthopedics department of Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who were admitted for treatment and underwent unilateral total hip arthroplasty. They were divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table method, with 31 patients in each group. All patients were treated with total hip replacement under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia by the same operation group. On the basis of routine nursing care for preventing abdominal distension in the control group, the treatment group was treated with umbilicus moxibustion therapy and transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation therapy for 5 consecutive days from the first day after operation.Record the recovery time of postoperative bowel sounds, the time of first postoperative exhaust, and the time of first postoperative defecation of the two groups of patients, measure and record the abdominal distension score of the two groups of patients for a total of four time periods(the first day,the second day,the third day,and the fifth day)after surgery, and perform integral statistics on the gastrointestinal status of the patients before and after treatment, and analyze the data through SPSS26.0 software. Results: This topic selected 62 patients,60 of which were actually completed,30 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group.(1)Recovery time of postoperative bowel sounds: There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(2)The first postoperative exhaust time: the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The first postoperative defecation time: the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Postoperative abdominal distension score: there was no significant difference between the two groups in the postoperative abdominal distension score on the first day after operation(P>0.05).The postoperative abdominal distension scores of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of both groups showed an upward trend from the first day to the third day after operation, while the scores of both groups showed a downward trend from the third day to the fifth day after operation.(5)Gastrointestinal status score: before treatment, there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).After treatment, the score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),The score of the two groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(6)Clinical efficacy of prevention and treatment of abdominal distension: the effective rate of prevention and treatment in the treatment group was 93.33%,and the effective rate of prevention and treatment in the control group was 80.00%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(7)Safety observation: None of the 62 patients had serious adverse reactions and complications during the treatment.Only one patient in the observation group had skin allergy symptoms after transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation. After oral treatment with loratadine, the allergy symptoms were eliminated, and the study was not affected. Conclusion: 1.Umbilical moxibustion combined with percutaneous electrical stimulation of acupoints has a significant effect on preventing and treating abdominal distension after THA,and the effective rate is high;2.Umbilical moxibustion combined with percutaneous electrical stimulation of acupoints can accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function and shorten the recovery time of bowel sounds in patients after THA;3.Umbilical moxibustion combined with transcutaneous electric stimulation of acupoints can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, and advance the time of first exhaust and defecation of patients after THA;4.Umbilical moxibustion combined with percutaneous electrical stimulation of acupoints can effectively relieve the degree of abdominal distension in patients after THA;5.Umbilical moxibustion combined with transcutaneous electrical stimulation of acupoints can reduce the gastrointestinal status score of patients after THA,significantly improve the gastrointestinal status of patients, and improve the treatment efficiency.
