Clinical Study Of Liuwei Dihuang Pills Combined With Tildar On Osteoporosis Of Liver-kidney Yin Deficiency Type

Objective: To study the effect of Liuwei Dihuang pills combined with Tildar on osteoporosis of liver-kidney yin deficiency type and its influence on patients’ quality of life score based on the theory of "kidney dominates bone".Methods: A total of 126 patients with osteoporosis of liver-kidney yin deficiency type from September 2019 to September 2020 in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the study subjects and divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table method.The experimental group consisted of 60 patients,26 males and 34 females,aged 59-85 years,with an average of(72 ± 6.5)years;the control group consisted of 66 patients,31 males and 35 females,aged 62-82 years,with an average of(73 ± 8.2)years.The control group was treated with Tildar,and the experimental group was treated with Liuwei Dihuang Pills combined with Tildar.After treatment,the effective rate of all subjects was evaluated.BMD was measured in both groups before and after treatment,and serological parameters Ca,VITD-T,BGP,ALP,PTH,β-CTX and T-P1 NP were also measured VAS,Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores for Assessment of JOA,and ODI were also performed to compare the medication effects between the two groups.Results:1.There was no significant difference in VAS,ODI,JOA,BMD,Ca,VITD-T,BGP,ALP,PTH,T-PINP and β-CTX between the two groups before treatment.2.Intra-group comparison: The VAS,ODI and JOA scores of the control group after treatment were significantly better than those before treatment(P < 0.01),the BMD of lumbar vertebra and hip joint were significantly higher than those before treatment(P <0.05),and Ca,VITD-T,BGP,ALP,PTH and β-CTX were significantly increased(P <0.05).The VAS,ODI and JOA scores of the experimental group after treatment were significantly better than those before treatment(P < 0.01),the BMD of each site was significantly higher than that before treatment(P < 0.01),Ca,VITD-T,BGP,ALP,PTH and β-CTX were significantly increased(P < 0.05),T-PINP was significantly decreased(P< 0.01).3.Comparison between groups: the VAS and JOA of the experimental group after treatment were significantly better than those of the control group(P < 0.05),the BMD of each site was also significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05),and Ca,VITD-T,BGP,PTH,T-PINP and other indicators were significantly better than those of the control group(P < 0.05).4.Overall response rate: After treatment,the overall response rate of the experimental group was 88.3%,which was significantly higher than the 74.2% of the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion: Liuwei Dihuang Pills combined with Tildar is effective in the treatment of osteoporosis of liver-kidney yin deficiency type,without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions.At the same time,it can reduce the pain of patients and improve the quality of life.
