Objective:To study the association of circulation levels of cystatin C(Cys-C),β2-microglobulin(β2-MG),creatinine(Cr)and left heart structure in patients with essential ypertension.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on215patients admitted to the First Department of Cardiology,Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia University for the Nationalities from June2022to September2022.154patients with essential hypertension were assigned as the essential hypertension group,and61non-hypertension individuals were included in the non-hypertension group.Record the general information of the included population,collect serum indicators of renal function such as blood urea,uric acid,creatinine,Cys-C,β2-MG and echocardiograph results.Using SPSS 27.0 statistical software to process the data,P<0.05 was statistically significant.Statistical plotting was performed by using Graphpad Prism software.Results:1.Comparison of baseline data between the two groups,including gender,left ventricular ejection fraction(EF),and left ventricular fractionalshortening(FS),blood urea and blood uric acid were not significantly different(P>0.05).The age of the essential hypertension group was older(P<0.05),and the values of LAD,LVDd,IVS,serum creatinine,cystatin C andβ2-microglobulin were higher than those of the non-hypertension group(P<0.05),which was statistically significant.2.In the essential hypertension group,there was a positive correlationbetween LAD and serum Cys-C(r=0.268,P<0.05),β2-MG(r=0.328,P<0.05)and Cr(r=0.272,P<0.05),with statistical significance.There was also a positive correlation between LVDd and Cys-C(r=0.267,P<0.05),β2-MG(r=0.265,P<0.05)and Cr(r=0.317,P<0.05),which was statistically significant.3.The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum Cys-C(OR=7.757,OR95%CI1.086-55.389,P<0.05),β2-MG(OR=1.971,OR95%CI1.028-3.776,P<0.05),Cr(OR=1.024,OR95%CI1.002-1.048,P<0.05)were statistically significant.4.The serum levels of cystatin C,β2-microglobulinand creatinine predicted the area under the ROC curve for left heart enlargement in patients with primary hypertension,which were 0.795,0.791,and 0.728,with statistical significance respectively(P<0.001).Conclusion:The serum levels of Cys-C,β2-MG and Cr in patients with essential hypertension are closely related to the changes of left heart structure,and may have a certain predictive value for the changes of left heart structure in patients with essential hypertension.
