Objective:This study was guided by the flipped classroom concept, and the educational method was combined with video health education and applied to the functional rehabilitation of post-knee replacement patients. The effect of flipped classroom video health education on the functional rehabilitation effect,self-efficacy and quality of life of post-knee replacement patients was investigated to provide a reference basis for optimizing health education for the care of post-knee replacement patients. Methods:After the approval and consent of the hospital ethics committee,94 patients who met the criteria for knee arthroplasty and were hospitalized in the Department of Joint Orthopedics,Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to October 2022 were included in this study using the random number table method, and they were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 47 patients in each group. The investigators gave the control group the traditional health education method and the observation group the flipped classroom video health education method. The knee AKS score, limb circumference of the affected limb,Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale-8(ASES-8),and Brief Health Questionnaire(SF-12)were selected for this study and were assessed and measured before the intervention,on the 7th postoperative day,and on the 45th postoperative day, respectively,to collect relevant information from the two groups.Using SPSS 26.0 software, the obtained patient-related study data were statistically analyzed and conclusions were drawn. Results:During the study, one patient in the control group was excluded due to inability to provide complete information after discharge, and one patient was excluded due to unwillingness to perform functional rehabilitation training as required;one patient in the observation group was excluded due to loss of contact after discharge, and one case was discontinued due to sudden acute cerebral infarction transferred to other departments.A total of 90 cases were actually completed, with 45 cases in each group.1.Before the intervention, the two groups were compared in terms of age, gender, education, height, weight, knee function, limb circumference of the affected limb,Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale-8,and Brief Health Questionnaire(SF-12),and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05)and were comparable.2.On postoperative day 7,analysis using two independent samples t-test showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05)in the total scores of AKS score of the knee, limb circumference of the affected limb(suprapatellar and infrapatellar),Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale-8,and Brief Health Questionnaire(SF-12)in both groups.3.On the 45th postoperative day, analysis using two independent samples t-test showed that the differences in the total scores of Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale-8 and Brief Health Questionnaire(SF-12)were statistically significant(P<0.05)in both groups, and the differences in knee AKS scores and limb circumference(suprapatellar and infrapatellar)of the affected limbs were not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Repeated measures ANOVA of knee AKS scores in the two groups showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),and there was a significant interaction effect(P<0.05);repeated measures ANOVA of limb circumference(suprapatellar and infrapatellar)of the affected limbs showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),and there was an interaction effect between the two groups with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);arthritis self The analysis of variance(ANOVA)for repeated measures of the Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale-8 scores showed a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the interaction effect between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the analysis of variance(ANOVA)for repeated measures of the Brief Health Survey Scale(SF-12)scores showed a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the interaction effect between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Flipped classroom video health education could help knee function rehabilitation, reduce the swelling of the affected limb and enhance the rehabilitation effect.2.Flipped classroom video health education could improve patients’ self-efficacy and quality of life.3.Flipping classroom video health education content can play repeatedly, enhance patients’ active participation consciousness, improve patients’ learning initiative, the educational method is convenient for clinical application.
