Acupuncture has been widely used in the treatment of gynaecological diseases and has certain unique advantages.Ancient medical practitioners have paid early attention to the use of acupuncture in gynaecology and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge. From the ancient literature,a large number of acupuncture texts related to gynaecology are systematically included in ancient acupuncture texts as well as scattered in ancient Chinese gynaecology texts, and these ancient gynaecological acupuncture texts have an important guiding role in current clinical practice, and their analysis and study is an essential part of the academic research on ancient gynaecological acupuncture. In the past, studies on ancient gynaecological acupuncture literature have mostly focused on the records of ancient acupuncture texts, and there is a lack of systematic research on the scattered acupuncture literature in ancient Chinese gynaecological texts. On the one hand, the study of scattered acupuncture literature in ancient Chinese gynaecological texts is an indispensable part of academic research on gynaecological acupuncture, which can complement the extensive gynaecological acupuncture literature in ancient acupuncture texts and enrich and expand academic research on gynaecological acupuncture;on the other hand, unlike the records in ancient acupuncture texts, the scattered acupuncture literature in ancient Chinese gynaecological texts reflects the practice and understanding of acupuncture in ancient gynaecological medicine. The study of scattered acupuncture literature in ancient Chinese gynaecology texts can help to form a comprehensive and objective understanding of the application of acupuncture in ancient gynaecology.Based on the selection criteria of the influence, academic value and accessibility of ancient gynecological books, this study selects 103 important ancient gynecological books involving acupuncture and moxibustion, extracts and sorts out the acupuncture literature contained in ancient books according to certain compilation and exclusion standards, and conducts a more systematic study on the production, composition, classification, distribution, and inheritance of the literature itself, aiming to reveal its basic appearance more clearly. The first chapter of the thesis begins by presenting an overview of the collected literature from different perspectives, including the dynasties of distribution, the classification of the literature, and the content of the treatises, and by summarizing the volumes of several important ancient gynecological texts that deal with acupuncture.Chapter 2 traces the origins scattered in the acupuncture literature and preliminarily describes its lineage.Chapter 3 analyzes the specific content of ancient gynecological books scattered in acupuncture literature from two aspects:theoretical interpretation and clinical treatment, and shows how acupuncture knowledge content is applied and practiced in ancient gynecological books.Chapter 4 compares the ancient gynecological books scattered in the acupuncture literature with the acupuncture medical books and the acupuncture literature from the women’s special volume of comprehensive books and whole books, and analyzes the intention of doctors to quote the scattered acupuncture literature in the ancient gynecological books.Chapter 5 provides an in-depth analysis and summary of the way ancient physicians cited the acupuncture literature scattered in ancient gynecological books.According to the study:First, the ancient texts on acupuncture in gynaecology are mostly devoted to specific gynaecological diseases, with few volumes or articles devoted to the content of acupuncture, which demonstrates the cross-cutting nature of acupuncture and the understanding and use of acupuncture by ancient gynaecologists. From the perspective of the sources scattered in acupuncture literature, the sources of ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology scattered in acupuncture literature are diverse, and can be divided into medical books and medical families. The scattered acupuncture literature originating from the medical family category was actually disseminated through ancient book records, but because the medical works of the doctors involved, such as Xu Zhicai,Zhang Wenzhong and others, have now been dispersed, the original text cannot be seen,so they are classified as medical families to indicate their source.Compared with the words of doctors, the scattered acupuncture literature from the previous generation of medical records accounts for the vast majority of all scattered acupuncture literature included in this study, and it can be basically divided into three categories:comprehensive medical books, ancient gynecological books and acupuncture ancient books. The classic expositions in comprehensive medical books have the most far-reaching influence on the scattered acupuncture literature, early comprehensive medical texts, such as the Neijing, the Brief Theory of Jin Kui,and the Theory of the Origin of Diseases, had a great influence on the theory of women’s meridians contained in ancient gynecological books and most of the classical gynecological acupuncture theories are derived from the guidance of medical scriptures. The phenomenon of mutual citation between gynecological ancient books is a major feature of the scattered ancient gynecological books in the circulation of acupuncture literature, and the citation of important gynecological ancient books is the main source of citations scattered in gynecological acupuncture literature."Women’s Prescription" is an earlier and important gynecological ancient book in the academic history of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology, and later gynecological ancient books are more obviously influenced by the "Women’s Great Prescription" and the content cited includes both the interpretation of classic theories by gynecological masterpieces and the original discussion of ancient gynecological books.Less scattered acupuncture literature is cited from ancient books of acupuncture and moxibustion,in the field of ancient gynecological medicine, compared with comprehensive medical books and gynecological ancient books, the influence of acupuncture ancient books is relatively limited, and there is only one "Acupuncture Sutra Extract" involved in ancient books. This is both a product of the ancient division of medicine and a reflection of the relative isolation that existed between acupuncture and gynaecological medicine in the context of the ancient division of medicine.Second, the ancient gynecological books scattered in the acupuncture literature can be divided into theoretical interpretation literature and clinical treatment literature. The theoretical interpretation literature has obvious characteristics of gynecological medicine, and most of the meridian theory is used to clarify the special physiological state of women and analyze the pathogenesis of gynecological diseases.Based on the understanding of women’s physiology and pathology, there are still some new understandings and plays on meridian theory in ancient gynecological books, which reflect the special application of meridian theory in the field of gynecology. In addition to discussing the content of meridians, there is also a part of theoretical interpretation literature related to acupoints, which mainly records the positioning and retrieval methods of acupoints,as well as the application of acupoint theory, using the name of acupoints to describe the location of the disease. The clinical treatment literature deals with the treatment of gynecological diseases, mainly for the treatment of acupoint selection and moxibustion. In terms of treatment point selection, there are a variety of acupoints involved, including meridian points, meridian external acupoints, and some treatment sites that have not been named acupoints, and the selection of acupoints is simple, mostly single acupoints. The ancient gynaecological clinics used moxibustion more often than stabbing, and the records on moxibustion are more detailed than those on stabbing, with records on the amount of moxibustion and the sensation of moxibustion. In terms of the treatment of diseases, moxibustion was mostly used as a supplement to drug therapy, mostly in combination with drugs, and there are few records of the use of stabbing or moxibustion alone, and the combined use of stabbing and moxibustion is not common.Third, through the comparison of ancient gynecological books scattered in acupuncture literature and acupuncture medical books and comprehensive medical books,it can be found that there are differences in the number of acupuncture points and acupuncture methods in the treatment of the same gynecological disease, specifically, the ancient gynecological books treatment point selection literature is mostly single acupuncture, the treatment method is mostly moxibustion, and there is a phenomenon of changing acupuncture method. This difference is determined by the different citation intentions of ancient gynecological books when citing relevant acupuncture literature. When citing relevant acupuncture content, ancient gynecological books are more based on the intention of concise, practical and easy to operate,so as to make it serve gynecological clinical services and facilitate the application of gynecological clinical practice.Fourth, after comparison with the source literature,it is found that there are differences in the number of acupoints selected and in the method of acupuncture and moxibustion used for the treatment of the same gynaecological condition.Specifically, the ancient texts on gynaecology contain mostly single acupuncture points, with few acupuncture points used in conjunction with each other, and are not highly theoretical in their selection of acupuncture points. Most of the treatment methods are moxibustion, and there are alterations to the acupuncture method. This difference is due to the distinctive citation intentions of the ancient gynaecological texts when citing relevant acupuncture literature. The citation of acupuncture in gynaecological texts is based more on the consideration of simplicity, practicality and ease of use,in order to make them clinically useful for gynaecology and to facilitate practice. The study of literature is the foundation and prerequisite for the academic study of gynecological acupuncture, and the academic study of gynecological acupuncture cannot be separated from the study of ancient gynecological acupuncture literature. After examining and analysing the scattered acupuncture literature in ancient gynaecological texts, this study concludes that the application of acupuncture in ancient gynaecological medicine was at a low level, and that the degree of understanding and mastery of the content of acupuncture knowledge in ancient gynaecological medicine was low.The present study shifted the perspective of the study, based on 103 studies.By examining and analysing the scattered acupuncture texts in 103 ancient gynaecological texts, this study presents an overview of the application of acupuncture in ancient gynaecological medicine and presents a different understanding of acupuncture among ancient gynaecological practitioners, contributing to an objective and comprehensive understanding of the role of acupuncture in ancient gynaecological clinical practice and providing reference and reference for current academic research on gynaecological acupuncture. This book is a reference for the current academic research on gynaecological acupuncture. For example, the scope of the study is not comprehensive enough, and the factors behind the ancient gynaecological medical environment, disciplinary characteristics, and background of medical practitioners that led to the above phenomenon are only superficially explored, and the comparative analysis of the understanding and application of acupuncture theoretical knowledge in the fields of acupuncture and gynaecology is not yet in-depth.This work will be further refined in the future to form a rich and detailed picture of th e application of acupuncture in ancient gynaecology.
