Clinical Observation On Electro Acupuncture Prevention Of Prolonged Post-operative Ileus After Laparoscopic Pancreaticoduodenectomy

Objective To observe the clinical effect of electroacupuncture in preventing prolonged post-operative ileus after laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy.Methods A total of 76 patients undergoing laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy were randomly divided into electroacupuncture group and control group,with 38 cases in each group.The control group was given accelerated rehabilitation surgical treatment from the peri-operative period to discharge.The electroacupuncture group was added on the basis of the treatment of the control group from the first day after surgery,with Zusanli(ST 36)and Shangjuxu(ST 37)as the main points,Yinlingquan(SP 9),Taichong(LR 3),Gongsun(SP 4),Neiguan(PC 6)and Jigou(SJ 6)as the corresponding points,Zusanli and Shangjuxu were connected with electroacupuncture,continuous wave was selected,the frequency was 2Hz,the needle was retained for 30min,once a day.The treatment continued for 4 days.The main results were to compare the incidence of prolonged post-operative ileus,first postoperative exhaust and defecation time between the two groups.Secondary outcomes were hospitalization costs,length of stay,and scores of post-treatment quality of life indicators,including pain,nausea,anxiety,and appetite status,compared between the two groups.Results The incidence of prolonged post-operative ileus was 17.14%in electroacupuncture group and 29.00%in control group.The incidence of prolonged post-operative ileus in electroacupuncture group was lower than that in control group,but the difference was not statistically significant.The time of first postoperative exhaust and defecation in electroacupuncture group was significantly shorter than that in control group(P<0.01),and hospitalization cost was lower than control group(P<0.05),the length of hospital stay was shorter than control group(P<0.05),the postoperative quality of life index score was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy and may prevent the occurrence of prolonged post-operative ileus.Electroacupuncture after surgery can improve the quality of life of patients after surgery,shorten the length of hospitalization,reduce hospitalization costs,worthy of clinical in-depth research and promotion.
