Test Objective:Through clinical observation of the efficacy of Spleen-Strengthening and Blood-Nourishing Method combined with ferrous sulfate in improving the symptoms of iron deficiency anemia associated with advanced gastric cancer,we evaluated its efficacy in alleviating and controlling the iron deficiency anemia associated with advanced gastric cancer,so as to provide more clinical data and relevant theoretical research for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia associated with advanced gastric cancer by traditional Chinese medicine.Test Methods:The trial was conducted in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. All cases participating in the trial were hospitalized patients in the Department of Oncology from May 2020 to February 2022.In strict accordance with the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria,60 hospitalized cases of advanced gastric cancer complicated with iron deficiency anemia were selected. The grouping method was random grouping using envelope method. The patients were divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The intervention was started on the day when the peripheral blood was taken for examination for the first time since the patient was admitted to hospital. The experimental group was treated with theSpleen-Strengthening and Blood-Nourishing Method(oral administration of Chinese medicine)combined with oral administration of ferrous sulfate, and the control group was treated with oral administration of ferrous sulfate tablets. To observe the effect of the Spleen-Strengthening and Blood-Nourishing Method(oral administration of Chinese medicine)combined with oral administration of ferrous sulfate compared with oral administration of ferrous sulfate tablets in improving the severity of iron deficiency anemia patients with advanced gastric cancer, increasing the red blood cell count and hemoglobin level of patients, increasing the serum iron content and serum ferritin of patients, improving the physical condition of patients, alleviating clinical symptoms of patients, and improving quality of life of patients. The database of test results was established, and the data were input by Excel-2019 and analyzed by SPSS24.0.Test Results:(1)A total of 60 patients with advanced gastric cancer complicated with iron deficiency anemia were included in the study.(2)During the treatment,no significant toxic reaction or adverse reaction event was observed in the patients of the two groups.(3)No statistical difference was found in the medical records of patients between the two groups before grouping(including gender, age, disease location and stage, whether or not to operate, classification of iron deficiency anemia, and effective rate of IDA treatment,etc.)(P>0.05).(4)Regarding the effect on hemoglobin, the values of hemoglobin in the experimental group and the control group were(112.30±9.40)g/L and(104.23±10.18)g/L,respectively,which indicated that the effect of increasing hemoglobin level in the experimental group was superior to that in the control group.P<0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant.(5)In terms of impact on red blood cells, the red blood cell counts of the experimental group were(4.28±0.57)×1012/L,and those of the control group were(3.54±0.46)×1012/L.The results showed that the experimental group was superior to the control group in increasing the red blood cell count. The difference was statistically significant after verification(P<0.05).(6)In promoting the absorption of iron, the serum iron content in the experimental group was(13.26±0.36)μmol/L,and that in the control group was(9.77±0.31)μmol/L.The experimental group was superior to the control group. The difference was statistically significant through rank sum test(P<0.05).(7)In terms of increasing serum ferritin level, the serum ferritin level of the experimental group was(25.80±6.72)μg/L,which was higher than that of the control group(17.89±4.91)μg/L.The test data showed that the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(8)In terms of improving the physical condition of the patients, the Karnofsky score of the experimental group was(75.67±5.04)and the control group was(68.33±5.31).P<0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant.(9)In the aspect of reducing the related TCM symptom scores, the effective rate of reducing the related TCM symptom scores in the experimental group was 86.67%,which was higher than the effective rate of 73.33%in the control group.P<0.05 indicated that the difference had statistical difference.Test Conclusion:The Spleen-Strengthening and Blood-Nourishing Method combined with ferrous sulfate had a significant effect on the improvement of iron deficiency anemia in patients with advanced gastric cancer, which could significantly improve the physical condition of patients as compared with the iron group and was conducive to the follow-up treatment.Meanwhile, the systemic symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, vexation and the like of the iron deficiency anemia of the patients with advanced gastric cancer can be reduced, and the life quality of the patients is improved; Can remarkably increase hemoglobin of patients and promote erythropoiesis; It can significantly increase the serum iron content and serum ferritin level of patients with statistical differences. The treatment of iron deficiency anemia associated with advanced gastric cancer with the method of invigorating spleen and nourishing blood combined with ferrous sulfate would benefit patients from the treatment, and there was no significant toxic reaction and adverse events during the treatment. It is worthy of further clinical research and application.
