Objective:To investigate the cognition and attitude of nursing staff’s adverse events report in Xiangxi, analyze the influencing factors, and provide reference for the management of clinical nursing staff’s adverse events. Methods:This study adopts the method of cross-sectional study.(1)From November to December 2020,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 792nursing staff in the Second and Third Grade Hospitals of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture by using general information, questionnaire on cognition and attitude of nursing staff’s adverse event reports and questionnaire on patient safety culture of hospital nursing staff.(2)SPSS22.0 software processed data.general information, with frequency, composition ratio description;the measurement data were described by mean and standard deviation.Independent sample t test or variance analysis were used to compare the differences between groups.Pearson method was used to test the correlation between patient safety culture and total score of adverse event report.Multivariate stepwise linear regression was used for multivariate analysis.Results:(1)The total score of cognition and attitude to nursing staff’s adverse event report was(108.03±12.87),and the scores of each dimension were report cognition(19.36±4.45),implementation intention(20.39±3.19),department culture(27.02±3.80),punishment environment(15.23±3.01)and management expectation(26.02±3.62).The overall positive response rate was 72.6%.The positive response rates of each dimension from high to low were implementation intention, department culture, punishment environment, management expectation and report cognition, which were85.2%,74%,72.4%,67.8%and 64.8%,respectively.(2)There were statistically significant differences in the total scores of cognition and attitude of adverse event reports among nurses of different ages, working years, the highest education level, professional title, position, marriage, employment nature, hospital level and department(P<0.05).(3)Nursing staff’s total score of adverse event reports was positively correlated with patient safety culture of nursing staff(r=0.447,P<0.01),among which it was positively correlated with the team atmosphere dimension(r=0.448,P<0.01),positively correlated with the satisfaction dimension of work(r=0.410,P<0.01),positively correlated with the safety atmosphere dimension(r=0.409,P<0.01),positively correlated with the perception dimension of management(r=0.362,P<0.01),and not correlated with the cognitive dimension of stress.(4)The total score of adverse event report cognition and attitude was divided into dependent variables. After gradual fitting, the final title, department, hospital level, team atmosphere, job satisfaction and pressure cognition were introduced into the regression equation model,R~2=0.261.Conclusions:(1)The cognition and attitude of nursing staff’s adverse event report in Xiangxi was above the middle level, among which the implementation intention is better and the report cognition is poor.(2)Nurses’patient safety culture positively predicts their cognition and attitude towards adverse event reports.(3)The influencing factors of adverse event report cognition and attitude mainly include professional title, department, hospital level, team atmosphere, satisfaction with work and cognition of pressure.
