| Objective:To investigate the suicidal ideation of junior high school students and analyze the influence of general demographic characteristics,stress,anxiety,depression and parenting style on suicidal ideation of junior high school students.Methods:From June 9 to 29,2020,2783 junior high school students were selected from 5 counties and urban areas of Jining City and Heze City,Shandong Province.Data were collected by self-designed general situation questionnaire,Children and adolescents stress Scale,Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9),Generalized Anxiety Disorder(GAD-7)and Egna Minnen av Barndosnauppforstran.SPSS25.0 was used for data analysis.Descriptive statistics are used to describe the general situation of middle school students.X~2test was used to compare the differences of junior high school students with or without suicidal ideation in general demographic characteristics,stress,anxiety and depression.The t test of two independent samples was used to compare the differences in parenting styles of junior high school students with or without suicidal ideation.The influential factors of junior high school students’suicidal ideation were analyzed by using binary logistics regression analysis.Results:1.The suicide ideation detection rate of junior high school students was 23.2%.2.Presence of junior high school students suicidal ideation in gender(X~2=62.51,P<0.001),mother’s education(X~2=12.34,P=0.006),the father health(X~2=64.78,P<0.001),mother’s health(X~2=51.76,P<0.001),the parent-child relationship(X~2=229.3,P<0.001),the relationship between teachers and students(X~2=151.3,P<0.001),peer relationship(X~2=123.33,P<0.001)is similar between the two groups have statistical significance.3.Presence of suicide ideation junior high school students in terms of perceived stress level is similar between the two groups have statistical significance(X~2=409.52,P<0.001).4.Presence of junior high school students suicidal ideation in anxiety(X~2=409.31,P<0.001),depression(X~2=551.51,P<0.001)is similar between the two groups have statistical significance.5.Junior high school students with or without suicidal ideation showed warm understanding of father’s emotion(t=14.81,P<0.001),severe punishment of father(t=-11.60,P<0.001),excessive interference of father(t=-7.20,P<0.001),refusal and denial of father(t=-11.75,P<0.001),father’s overprotection(t=-7.53,P<0.001),mother’s emotional warmth and understanding(t=12.72,P<0.001),mother’s excessive interference and protection(t=-12.27,P<0.001),mother’s refusal and denial(t=-15.60,P<0.001),mother punishment(t=-14.00,P<0.001),there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups.6.Multi-factor logistics regression analysis showed that female,maternal education,parent-child relationship,anxiety,depression,warm understanding of father’s emotion,severe punishment of father,excessive interference of father,excessive interference of mother to protect,pressure perception degree is related to junior high school students’suicidal ideation.Paternal warmth and understanding(OR=0.970,95%CI:0.960~0.980),paternal excessive interference(OR=0.942,95%CI:0.909~0.976)were protective factors for suicidal ideation.Female(OR=1.884,95%CI:1.508~2.353),maternal education of high school(OR=1.449,95%CI:1.028~2.043),average parent-child relationship(OR=1.372,95%CI:1.066~1.766),poor parent-child relationship(OR=1.711,95%CI:1.007~2.907),severe punishment of father(OR=1.024,95%CI:1.002~1.047),excessive interference protection of mother(OR=1.053,95%CI:1.032~1.074),anxiety tendency(OR=1.697,95%CI:1.316~2.188),depression tendency(OR=3.113,95%CI:2.404~4.031),slightly higher stress(OR=1.714,95%CI:1.219~2.409),feeling strong stress and having abnormal behavior OR emotional response(OR=2.711,95%CI:1.902~3.863),long-term feeling of strong pressure and inner suppression of strong emotions and anxiety(OR=3.842,95%CI:2.731~5.404)were risk factors for suicidal ideation.Conclusion:1.About one in five junior high school students reported suicidal ideation.2.Suicide ideation of junior high school students is related to gender,and female is the risk factor of suicide ideation of junior high school students.3.Suicide ideation of junior high school students is related to emotional disorders.Anxiety and depression are risk factors for suicide ideation of junior high school students.4.The suicidal ideation of junior high school students is related to the degree of stress,and the greater the pressure,the higher the risk.5.The suicidal ideation of junior high school students is related to family environment and parenting style.The risk factors of junior high school students’suicidal ideation are mother’s high school education,poor parent-child relationship,father’s severe punishment and mother’s excessive interference,while the father’s warm and understanding emotion and father’s excessive interference are protective factors. |
