Objective:To investigate the difference between monocyte to high density liporotein cholesterol ratio(MHR)and type 2 diabetic retinopathy(DR)by studying the differences in monocyte to MHR in patients with type 2 diabetic retinopathy at different stages. The correlation of DR in type 2 diabetes provides a reference for early diagnosis and early treatment of DR in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods:From March 2020 to March 2021,213 patients with type 2 diabetes who were hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism,Chongqing University Three Gorges Hospital with complete data were retrospectively analyzed, and the general data, blood biochemical indexes and fundus photo results of all subjects were collected. The research subjects were divided into nondiabetic retinopathy(NDR)group of 102 cases;non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)group of 74 cases;Proliferative diabetes retinopathy(PDR)group of 37 cases according to the results of fundus photography;SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data of the research subjects.Results:1.The duration of diabetes, systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP),monocyte count(M),MHR,glycated hemoglobin(HbAlc)showed an increasing trend in NDR group,NPDR group and PDR group.High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and fasting C-peptide(FCP)showed a downward trend, and the difference was statistically significant(<0.05).2.Compared with the NDR group, the low-density lipoprotein cholester ol(LDL-C)and serum uric acid(SUA)in the PDR group were increased, and the lymphocytes(L)were decreased, and the difference was statistically significant(<0.05).Compared with the NPDR group, the systolic blood pressure(SBP),monocyte count(M),MHR,glycosylated hemoglo bin(HbAlc),serum creatinine(Scr),serum uric acid(SUA)in the PDR group increased,lymphocytes(L),High-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and fasting C-peptide(FCP)were decreased, and the difference was statistically significant(<0.05).3.MHR was positively correlated with the severity of type 2 diabetic retinopathy, and there were significant differences among the three groups(P<0.05).MHR was positively correlated with disease duration,SBP,DBP,M,LDL-C,SUA,HbAlc.The subject operating characteristic curve(ROC)showed that with MHR 0.298 as the cut-off point, the sensitivity for diagnosing DR was 96.4%and the specificity was 67.6%.The areas under the curves were 0.889(95%CI:0.845-0.933,P=0.000).Conclusion:MHR is associated with type 2 diabetic retinopathy, which has important clinical significance for the diagnosis of DR in patients with type 2 diabetes. When the level of MHR is greater than 0.298,it has a good predictive effect on the occurrence of retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes.
