Objective This experimental study explored the effect of nursing intervention based on the Health Action Process approach(HAPA)on the cognitive ability and health behavior of patients with thoracolumbar fragility fractures after surgery.Guidance on healthy behavior change provides a reference.Method In this study,104 patients with postoperative thoracolumbar fragility fractures who were hospitalized in the spine surgery center of a tertiary hospital in a city from January to December 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were numbered according to the order of admission, randomly divided into groups, and the dropped out subjects were excluded, and a total of 96 subjects were finally determined. There were 49 cases in the intervention group and 47 cases in the control group. The two groups of patients were allocated beds according to the front and rear groups. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the intervention group was given HAPA nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing. The Health Action Stage Assessment Questionnaire was collected before each intervention;the Functional Disability Index Scale, the Osteoporosis Knowledge Test Questionnaire, and the Osteoporosis Selfefficacy Scale were collected before the intervention,1 month and 3 months after discharge; The fracture rate was collected and evaluated at 1 month and 3 months after discharge to measure the osteoporotic cognitive ability,self-efficacy,thoracolumbar function and refracture rate of the research subjects. Finally, statistical analysis was performed on the collected data.Result(1)There was no statistical difference in the basic data of the two groups of patients(P>0.05);(2)Before the intervention, the osteoporosis-related health knowledge score,self-efficacy score, thoracic and lumbar spine function score of the two groups were compared with each sub-item score of each scale, and there was no significant difference(P>0.05);(3)Comparing the osteoporosis cognitive scores in the two groups at 1month after discharge and 3 months after discharge, the intervention group was higher than the control group(P<0.05);(4)The self-efficacy scores of the two groups at 1 month after discharge and 3 months after discharge were higher in the intervention group than in the control group(P<0.05);(5)The thoracolumbar function scores of the two groups of patients at 1 month after discharge and 3 months after discharge were higher in the intervention group than in the control group(P<0.05);(6)There was no significant difference in the incidence of refracture between the two groups at 1 month after discharge and 3 months after discharge(P>0.05);Conclusion Nursing intervention based on HAPA can effectively improve the ability of patients with thoracolumbar fragility fracture to master osteoporosis health knowledge,self-efficacy level and lumbar spine function;but it has not been proved that nursing intervention based on HAPA can effectively reduce the risk of thoracolumbar fragility refracture in the short term.
