Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of multiple glioma, and to analyze the prognosis of multiple glioma with different treatment methods. Methods: A total of 56 patients with multiple glioma diagnosed and treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from 2014 to 2017 were collected.(1)In 36 patients with surgically removed tumors, univariate analysis was performed on gender, age, pathological grade, preoperative KPS score, tumor resection degree, number of lesions, immunohistochemical ki-67,IDH-1,GFAP and other factors, and significant influencing factors were retained for multivariate COX regression analysis.(2)Whether there was a difference in median survival between the surgical treatment group, the radiotherapy and chemotherapy group and the conservative treatment group was compared.(3)To compare whether there is a difference in median survival between the two groups of patients with multifocal glioma and multicentral glioma.Results:(1)Univariate analysis:age, preoperative KPS score, tumor grade and surgical resection degree had significant differences in median survival of multiple glioma patients(all P<0.05).Multivariate COX regression analysis showed that age(P=0.001),preoperative KPS score(P=0.001),tumor pathology grade(P < 0.001),and tumor resection degree(P < 0.001)were independent factors for predicting prognosis of multiple glioma patients undergoing surgical resection.(2)The difference between surgical treatment group, radiotherapy and chemotherapy group and conservative treatment group was statistically significant(P <0.01).(3)The median survival time of patients with polycentric glioma was higher than that of patients with multifocal glioma, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.035).Conclusion:(1)the age of onset, preoperative KPS score, tumor resection degree and pathological grade are independent factors affecting the prognosis of multiple glioma patients.(2)In the treatment of multiple glioma, the median survival of the surgical treatment group was longer than that of the radiotherapy and chemotherapy group and the conservative treatment group.Median survival was longer in the chemoradiotherapy group than in the conservative group.(3)Patients with more central gliomas had better prognosis than those with focal gliomas.
