Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics,influencing factors and dermoscopy of the cheilitis patients in northern Guangxi.Methods:In this study,the basic information and clinical data of cheilitis patients in the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin medical College hospital from October 2020 to December 2021 were collected,and then pictures of cheilitis patients were collected by dermoscopy.All data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0statistical software.The counting were expressed as composition ratio(%)or frequency(N).Chi-square(χ~2)test was used for comparison between groups.Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between cheilitis and living habits and other factors by OR and 95%CI.All results were significant as P<0.05.Result:(1)A total of 130 cheilitis patients were included,including 52 in minor group(<18 years old),78 in adult group(≥18 years old),and minor group:adult group=2:3.The number of patients with cheilitis was the largest in 20-29years old.There were 39 males and 91 females,with a male to female ratio of3:7.(2)There were 47 cases of acute course,accounting for 36%,and 83 cases of chronic course,accounting for 64%.(3)There were 72 cases(57%)of cheilitis in autumn and winter,and 30 cases(22%)in spring and summer.The incidence of cheilitis in autumn and winter was significantly higher than that in spring and summer.(4)Most of cheilitis occurs in full red lips(97 cases,74.7%).(5)In this study,there were irritant contact dermatitis(46 cases,35.3%),allergic contact cheilitis(30 cases,23%),psychiatric factors(29 cases,22.4%),atopic dermatitis(31 patients,23.8%).(6)Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that good habits[OR=0.081(0.036-0.18),P<0.001]and psychological stress[OR=0.125(0.032-0.497),P<0.003]were independent influencing factors for the prevalence of cheilitis.(7)The subgroup analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups in the predilection sites of acute cheilitis and chronic cheilitis(P<0.05).(8)Characteristics of vascular density,scales,brown gray dots/balls have significant between acute and chronic cheilitis(P<0.05),On the other hand,background color,vascular morphology,vascular distribution,angular blisters,ulcers,bleeding points,yellow unstructured areas remain insignificant between acute and chronic cheilitis(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Cheilitis in northern Guangxi are common in adults,expecially common in women.It tends to occur in autumn and winter,with red lips as the most common part.It is mainly a very light manual labor occupation.(2)Bad habits and psychological stress may be risk factors for cheilitis.(3)Cheilitis may be one of the diagnostic clues of atopic dermatitis and should be paid attention to clinically.(4)Dermatoscopy can be used as an auxiliary diagnostic tool of cheilitis,acute cheilitis in the characteristics of dermatology scales for yellow pulp scab,scattered in white scales,and chronic cheilitis is mostly manifested as black brown blood scab and brown-gray dots/balls.
