Treatment Of Premature Ovarian Failure With Bushenhuoxue Traditional Chinese Medicine Meta-analysis Of Clinical Efficacy

Objective:Meta-analysis was applied to evaluate the clinical effects of Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of premature ovarian failure,providing an evidence-based basis for the clinical application of Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of premature ovarian failure.Methods:The literature of clinical randomized controlled trials of Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western drugs compared with western drugs alone for premature ovarian failure was reviewed in the database,published from the time of database construction to December 2021.The Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool was used to assess the quality of the literature that met the inclusion criteria,and the data were extracted and Meta-analyses were performed using Rev Man 5.4 software for the total clinical efficiency,TCM evidence score,FSH,LH,E2,AMH and other indicators.Results:In this study,2207 relevant papers were retrieved,of which 20 were included in the study,with a total of 1995 patients,including 994 cases in the treatment group,where the intervention was Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine,and 1001cases in the control group,where the intervention was western medicine alone.Meta-analysis results:（1）Total clinical efficacy:OR=3.30,95%CI[2.50,4.35],P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or combined with western medicine had better clinical efficacy than western medicine treatment alone;（2）Chinese medicine evidence points:SMD=-0.97,95%CI[-1.22,-0.72],P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or combined with western medicine was better than western medicine treatment alone.（3）Kupperman’s score:SMD=-0.93,95%CI[-1.50,-0.36],P=0.001,a statistically significant difference,indicating that herbs for Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine improve Kupperman’s score better when used alone or in combination with western drugs compared to western drugs alone.（4）FSH level:SMD=-1.31,95%CI[-1.75,-0.85],P<0.00001,the difference is statistically significant,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine can reduce FSH level better than treatment with western medicine alone.（5）LH level:SMD=-1.28,95%CI[-1.72,-0.85],P<0.00001,the difference is statistically significant,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with Western medicine can lower LH level more than treatment with Western medicine alone;（6）E₂level:SMD=1.15,95%CI[0.65,1.66],P<0.00001,a statistically significant difference,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with Western medicine to tonify the kidneys and invigorate blood can enhance E₂level more than Western medicine treatment alone;（7）AMH level:SMD=2.14,95%CI[0.36,3.91],P=0.02,a statistically significant difference,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with Western medicine to tonify the kidneys and invigorate blood can enhance AMH level more than Western medicine treatment alone（8）INH-B level:SMD=0.85,95%CI[0.36,1.34],P=0.0006,a statistically significant difference,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine are more effective than western medicine treatment alone in improving INH-B;（9）ovarian volume:MD=0.72,95%CI[0.30,1.14],P=0.0008,a statistically significant difference,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine are better than western medicine treatment alone in increasing ovarian volume.（10）PSV level:SMD=-0.59,95%CI[-1.89,0.71],P=0.37,the difference was not statistically significant,indicating that there was no significant difference in the efficacy of Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine to improve PSV level alone or in combination with western medicine compared with western medicine alone;（11）RI level:SMD=-1.62,95%CI[-2.97,-0.28],P=0.02,the difference was statistically significant,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine had better efficacy in improving RI level than treatment with western medicine alone;（12）Adverse reactions:OR=0.19,95%CI[0.03,1.22],P=0.08,the difference was not statistically significant,indicating that there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine than those treated with western medicines alone.（13）Relapse rate:OR=0.12,95%CI[0.04,0.33],P<0.0001,the difference was statistically significant,indicating that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine were more effective in suppressing relapse rate than western medicine treatment alone.Conclusion:1.It showed that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine were more effective in improving clinical efficiency in the treatment of premature ovarian failure compared with western medicine alone.2.It showed that Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine were more effective in improving the levels of FSH,LH,E2,AMH,INH-B,ovarian volume,and RI when used alone or in combination with western medicine compared with western medicine alone for premature ovarian failure.3.It showed that the effect of Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine was more effective in improving the level of TCM evidence score and Kupperman Points Level compared with western medicine alone in treating premature ovarian failure.4.It showed that herbs for Bushen Huoxue Traditional Chinese medicine alone or in combination with western medicine were more effective in controlling the recurrence rate than western drugs alone in the treatment of premature ovarian failure.
