Purpose:To explore the clinical efficacy of pricking collaterals and cupping combined with acupuncture on and to preliminarily explore its possible mechanism. Methods:Using the method of randomized controlled trial,60 patients with liver Yang syndrome type of essential hypertension were divided into treatment group and control group with a ratio of 1:1,with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture plus cupping, while the control group was treated with acupuncture alone. The acupuncture prescription of treatment group: Baihui、Sishencong、Yangbai、Taiyang、Fengchi、Shuaigu、Quchi、Hegu、Xingjian, combined with acupuncture and cupping at Dazhui point. The control group was treated with simple acupuncture, and acupuncture points and manipulations were selected according to acupuncture and moxibustion edited by Zhao Jiping and Li Ying: Baihui,Fengchi,Quchi,Hegu,Taichong,Sanyinjiao and Xingjian. The treatment group and the control group were treated with acupuncture once a day for 50 minutes each time;In the treatment group, pricking cupping was performed once a day,and cupping is reserved for 5 to 8 min each time. The two groups of patients were treated with 4 courses of treatment, with an interval of 1 day between the two courses. Each course of treatment lasted for 6 days, rested for 1 day,and treated once a day. After 4 courses of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients were observed and counted.Results:1.After treatment, the scores of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and symptoms in the two groups decreased compared with those before treatment; The data of systolic and diastolic blood pressure within and between groups were analyzed,P < 0.05,which was statistically significant.2.The improvement of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and symptom scores in the treatment group were better than those in the control group. After statistical analysis, there was a difference between the treatment group and the control group(P < 0.05).3.The total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group and 86.67% in the control group; The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Finally,it was concluded that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture plus cupping and conventional acupuncture can reduce blood pressure in the treatment of primary hypertension of hyperactivity of liver yang. The curative effect of acupuncture plus cupping is better than that of conventional acupuncture.2.Acupuncture plus cupping in the treatment of primary hypertension of hyperactivity of liver yang can improve the clinical symptoms of patients in varying degrees, and its curative effect is significantly better than that of conventional acupuncture.
