Clinical Observation Of Zhibai Quzhi Decoction In The Treatment Of Head Seborrheic Dermatits (Damp-Heat Syndrome) In Female

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Zhibai Quzhi Decoction in the treatment of head seborrheic dermatitis(damp-heat syndrome)in female.Methods:From December 2020 to February 2022 among the patients attending the outpatient clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine,70 patients who met this inclusion criteria were selected and randomly and equally divided into treatment and control groups.The treatment group was given oral the decoction of chinese medicine-Zhibai Quzhi Decoction,while the control group was given oral Longdan Xiegan capsul,with a further consultation once a week,for 2 weeks as a course of treatment,and four courses of treatment were observed.Record the total individual efficacy points of the patients at before,the second,fourth,sixth and eighth weeks of treatment;the patients’ BMI and sex hormone levels(testosterone levels)were measured and recorded before treatment and at the eighth week of treatment as a standard of measurement to assess the curative effect.At the end of the observation,the measured data were statistically analysed.Results:1.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 88.57% and the control group was 71.43%.The total individual efficacy score,BMI index and sex hormone level(testosterone)of the treatment group decreased more than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).2.The total individual efficacy score was significant decreased from the sceond week in the treatment group(P<0.05),which was significant decreased from the forth week in the control group(P<0.05).3.Correlation analysis of BMI,testosterone level and total individual efficacy score before and after treatment showed a linear positive correlation between the three,with correlation coefficients r of 0.575,0.735,0.609,0.634,0.669,0.492 respectively(all P<0.05)4.In both groups,liver and kidney function tests were detected at before,at the fourth and the eighth week of treatment,the indexes were all within the normal range,with no adverse reactions occurred during the treatment period.Conclusion.1.Zhibai Quzhi decoction is a safe and effective in the treatment of head seborrheic dermatitis(damp-heat syndrome)in female,and the therapeutic effect is better than Longdan Xiegan capsule.2.Zhibai Quzhi decoction has a faster onset than Longdan Xiegan capsule in the treatment of head seborrheic dermatitis(damp-heat syndrome)in female.
