Meta-Analysis Of Integrated Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine In The Treatment Of Early Threatened Abortion

Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of early threatened abortion,so as to provide evidence-based basis for the clinical practice and scientific researches.Methods:To search for domestic and foreign databases through the computer,including the National Knowledge Network of China（CNKI）,the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database（CBM）,the Vip Database（VIP）,Wanfang Database（WANFANG）,Pubmed,the Cochrane Library,retrieving randomized controlled trials of early threatened abortion which were publicly published in the last decade from December 2011 to December2021.In addition,the clinical total efficiency,TCM syndrome scores,serum hormone P levels,serum hormone E₂levels,serum-HCG levels and adverse effects were extracted and summarized,using the Risk Assessment Tool to assess the included articles.Analysis was performed by using the Review Manager 5.4 statistical software.Res ults:1.Search results:A total of 17 articles were included in this study,including 7 core journals and 10 dissertations,involving a total of 1407patients with early threatened abortion,704 in the treatment group and 703in the control group.2.Meta-analysis results:The treatment of integrated traditional has clinical advantages compared with the treatment of simple western medicine.It is reflected mainly in the following aspects:（1）It can effectively improves clinical total efficiency（OR:4.86,95%CI:[3.25,7.25],Z=7.74,P<0.00001）;（2）It can effectively reduces the TCM syndrome scores（MD:-3.02,95%CI:[-3.81,-2.22],Z=7.45,P<0.00001）;（3）It can effectively improves serum hormone P levels（SMD:0.98,95%CI:[0.55,1.40],Z=4.53,P<0.00001）;（4）It can effectively improves serum hormone E₂levels（SMD:0.92,95%CI:[0.50,1.33],Z=4.34,P<0.0001）;（5）It can effectively improves serum-HCG levels（SMD:1.08,95%CI:[0.55,1.60],Z=3.99,P<0.0001）.In terms of the incidence of adverse reactions,there is no significant difference between the two treatments（OR:0.26,95%CI:[0.01,6.67],Z=0.82,P=0.41）.Co nclu sio n:The results of this study showes that the treatment of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine is superior to the treatment of simple western medicine in improving clinical efficiency,reducing TCM syndrome scores,increasing serum hormone P,increasing serum hormone E₂and serum-HCG levels,but with no significant difference in the incidence of the adverse reactions between the two treatments.In the future,it is necessary to strengthen the safety researches of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of early threatened abortion.
