Objective: To explore the influencing factors of quality of life in patients with maintenance hemodialysis and the correlation between the factors and TCM syndromes,so as to provide reference for TCM syndrome differentiation and improving quality of life. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to select MHD patients from December 2020 to August 2021,collect their social and demographic data,dialysis-related case data, laboratory examination indicators and other data, and evaluate the quality of life of patients and diagnose TCM syndromes.Principal component analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of MHD quality of life score.Classification principal component analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the influencing factors of quality of life and TCM syndromes in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Results: A total of 127 patients were enrolled in this study. In the distribution of TCM syndromes, the syndrome of deficiency of Yin and Yang(32%),the syndrome of deficiency of qi and Yin(25%),the syndrome of deficiency of liver and kidney Yin(17%),the syndrome of deficiency of spleen and kidney qi(15%),and the syndrome of deficiency of spleen and kidney Yang(11%).The standard signs are blood stasis syndrome, dampness and turbidity syndrome, turbidity and toxin syndrome, dampness and heat syndrome and wind-moving syndrome. The total score of quality of life was70.2±14.46 points. The factors influencing quality of life included age, education level, working status, systolic blood pressure before dialysis, age of dialysis, application of EPO and l-carnitine,laboratory indicators of albumin and serum calcium, etc. The study on the relationship between QOL and TCM syndromes showed that patients with spleen-kidney qi deficiency syndrome had the highest QOL score, which might be higher than 83.4.The quality of life score of patients with spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome may be close to 76.1-83.4.The quality of life score of patients with liver-kidney Yin deficiency syndrome may be between 71.7 and 83.4 points. The quality of life scores of patients with deficiency of qi and Yin were almost 59.2-71.7 points. The score of patients with deficiency of Yin and Yang syndrome was less than 59.2.Conclusion: MHD patients’ age, education level, work status, systolic blood pressure before dialysis, age of dialysis, application of EPO and l-carnitine,albumin and serum calcium and other laboratory indicators have an impact on the quality of life. The quality of life of MHD patients was closely related to the distribution of TCM syndromes, the patients with spleen-kidney qi deficiency syndrome had the best quality of life, while the patients with yin-yang deficiency syndrome had poor quality of life.
