Research Status Analysis And Hot Spot Discovery Of Electronic Medical Record Based On Text Mining

Objective:With the continuous construction and development of hospital informatization,the use of electronic medical records in medical institutions in China is becoming more and more popular,and the related research of electronic medical records has also attracted extensive attention,but there are still some deficiencies compared with developed countries.From the perspective of text mining and bibliometrics,this paper analyzes the countries,institutions,authors and themes of the literature in the field of international EMR research in recent ten years,in order to make a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the research and development of EMR,and provide reference for scientific research,hospital application and policy-making in relevant fields in China.Method:This paper selects 18137 research documents related to electronic medical records in the core database of web of science from January 1,2012 to December 31,2021 as the experimental object,and comprehensively uses statistical analysis methods,VOSviewer,Cite Space and other research tools to study and analyze the basic information of relevant documents,such as the number of documents,authors,issuing institutions,countries and keywords,and visually display them.Using Python self-programming and LDA topic model,text mining and analysis are carried out on the research topics of relevant literature.Result:Over the past decade,the number of papers related to EMR research has increased year by year.The United States is the center of national cooperation.Mayo Medical Center,Harvard Medical School and Vanderbilt University are the main research institutions.Joshua C.Denny,Professor of Vanderbilt University,is the author with the most papers in this field and the author with the most cooperation with other authors."Primary health care" is the keyword with the highest frequency in this research field except "EMR","Artificial intelligence" is the keyword with the highest outburst intensity.There are 20 research topics in this field in recent ten years,including 7 hot topics,including "drug research and development" and "clinical decision support research".Conclusion:In terms of national cooperation,the United States is far ahead in this research field and is the center of national cooperation.The main research countries in this field cooperate most closely with the United States.At the same time,European countries cooperate closely with each other and form a research group.Compared with other research groups,especially the lack of cooperation with neighboring countries,China has not formed an obvious research group.In terms of institutional cooperation,the main scientific research institutions in this field cooperate closely with each other,especially with domestic scientific research institutions.However,the cooperative institutions of scientific research institutions in China are often one or two fixed and lack cooperation with other scientific research institutions.In terms of author cooperation,each research topic has formed a cooperative group,and the authors of different topics also have cooperation,which is not limited by the research topic.Through theme mining,it is found that the current research field of EMR mainly focuses on seven hot topics: "clinical decision support research","discovery of adverse drug reactions","drug research and development","disease risk research","text mining of EMR","Patient Readmission research" and "Nursing research".These studies basically cover all aspects of patients from admission to discharge from diagnosis,treatment,nursing to prevention.The research directions include improving diagnostic accuracy,improving drug safety,accelerating drug research and development,early warning for high-risk people,improving nursing quality and so on.By calculating the intensity of each subject under different time windows,it is found that the attention of "clinical decision support research" and "nursing research" has increased steadily,which is a potential emerging hotspot in this field.The theme of "rapid growth of drug research and development" has been the focus of attention in recent years."Research on disease risk" and "Research on text mining of electronic medical records" have attracted continuous attention in recent ten years,and the degree of attention fluctuates slightly,which may still be a hot topic in the future.The attention of "adverse drug reaction discovery" and "patient secondary admission study" continues to decline,which may be due to the maturity of existing studies.
