| Objective:Compared the amount of extruded debris from apical root canal with Wave One Gold files,Reciproc Blue files,M3-L files,Hyflex-EDM files and Pro Taper Universal files and the time required to complete the root canal preparation in the corresponding mode.It provides reference for the selection of nickel-titanium instruments in clinical root canal preparation.Methods:A total of 100 mandibular first premolars extracted due to the reduction of orthodontics were selected as experimental subjects for cleaning and pretreatment.They were randomly divided into 5 groups and then five mechanical nickel-titanium instruments were selected for root canal preparation: The first group was Wave One Gold(WOG),the second group was Reciproc Blue(RPB),the third group was M3-L,and the fourth group was SINGLE file with rotating motion Hyflex-edm(HFE)and Pro Taper Universal(PTU)were used to prepare 20 isolated teeth with single root canal in each group.The detrital extruded material was collected by a detrital collection device and weighed after drying.The amount of apical debris pushed out by nickel-titanium files and the time required for root canal preparation were recorded in each group.Results:1.The amount of the apical debris extrusion in all the five groups of nickel-titanium instruments.PTU group(5.45±0.87 mg)was more than WOG group(2.89±0.26 mg),RPB group(3.06±0.61 mg),M3-L group(2.69±0.57 mg) and HFE group(2.77±0.45 mg).The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the amount of debris ejection between the other four groups(P>0.05).2.The time of root canal preparation in PTU group(88.20±10.80 s)was longer than that in WOG group(27.75±3.87 s),RPB group(28.90±3.62 s),M3-L group (26.75±3.31s)and HFE group(30.80±4.84 s).There was statistically significant difference(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the time of root canal preparation between single-files in the other four groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:All the five groups of nickel-titanium instruments had different degrees of apical debris extrusion,and Four single-file Wave One Gold,Reciproc Blue,M3-L and Hy Flex-EDM files had lower apical detral thrust and higher root canal preparation efficiency than multi-file Pro Taper Universal. |
