Objective: Surface modification of porous titanium implants,such as the formation of soft hydrogel on the surface of the specimen and inside the pore,are used to improve the interaction between titanium implants and surrounding bone tissue by providing a hydrophilic surface to induce bone growth into the pore.This paper systematically evaluates the physical properties and biocompatibility of hydrogel formed on the surface and inside the pores of 3D printed porous titanium alloys.Methods: Porous titanium alloy implants were prepared by 3D printing technology,the sample surface was sandblasted and ultrasonic cleaning,and then silk fibroin hydrogel was formed on the surface and inside the pores of porous titanium alloy by light curing method,the surface properties of hydrogel were also evaluated.CCK-8 method was used to detect the proliferation of MC3TC-E1 cells on different sample surface,the number and morphology of cells on the sample surface were observed by confocal laser microscope,and the proliferation of cells on the sample surface was observed by Ed U method,so as to evaluate the biocompatibility of porous titanium alloy implants with fibroin hydrogel on the surface.Results:The silk fibroin hydrogel coating on porous titanium alloy surface had smoother surface and better hydrophilicity.The prepared photocurable silk fibroin hydrogel mainly had irregular curl.and the light transmittance was more than 93%.The porosity and degradation rate of the hydrogel were related to the concentration.Cell experiments proved that hydrogel coating had good biocompatibility and could promote the proliferation and adhesion of osteoblasts,especially the cells cultured at the concentration of 30mg/ml showed better biological properties.Conclusion:3D printed porous titanium alloy silk fibroin hydrogel coating has better hydrophilicity,can promote the proliferation and adhesion of osteoblasts,which is an appropriate surface modification method of titanium alloy.
