Objective: To investigate the serological effect of different treatment courses of benzathine penicillin for acquired syphilis, and to observe whether prolonging treatment course can improve serological effect. To explore the factors affecting the serological effect after achieving. To analyze the reliability of the cure time of syphilis. Methods: Clinical data of acquired syphilis patients in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January 2014 to October 2021 and completed at least 1-year follow-up were collected, including basic information, epidemiology, clinical symptoms, clinical stages, laboratory tests, treatment methods(use of drugs and courses of treatment)and follow-up results.Patients were divided into 4 groups according to different treatment courses of benzathine penicillin: 3 times group,4times group,5 times group, and 6 times group.A Chi-square test was used to analyze the difference in serological cure rate every 3 months in the first year and every 6months in the second year after treatment.Bivariate and multivariate analyses were utilized to identify factors associated with serological cure rates after 12 months of treatment for syphilis.Analyze the differences in serum blood cure rates at 18 and 24 months within 12 months after treatment.Result: 1.A total of 249 patients were enrolled, including 114 males and 135 females.Average age: 43.72(17-89).There were 56 cases in the third time group,54 cases in the fourth time group and 78 cases in the fifth time group. There were 61 cases in 6 times group.Serological follow-up was performed at 1 year after completion of treatment in 249 patients,18 months after completion of treatment in137 patients, and 2 years after completion of treatment in 105 patients.2.Chi-square test showed that there was no significant difference in the serological cure rate every3 months in the first year and every 6 months in the second year after the treatment of acquired syphilis.3.Bivariate and multivariate analyses showed that there was no significant correlation between the serological cure rate at 12 months after treatment and gender, age and treatment duration. The serological cure rate at 12 months after treatment was positively correlated with the initial baseline serological titer. There were significant differences in serological efficiency and time in the first year after treatment(P <0.05),and no significant difference in December,August, and 24(P>0.05).It is important that follow-up is at least 1 year after acquired syphilis treatment. Conclusion: Prolonging the course of benzathine penicillin does not improve the serological cure rate of acquired syphilis within 2 years of follow-up.Initial baseline serologic titers were positively correlated with serologic cure rates for acquired syphilis.Follow-up should reach at least 1 year after treatment.
