Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Guipi Decoction in the treatment of cancer-related insomnia associated with qi and blood deficiency type,so as to provide clinical diagnosis and treatment ideas.Methods:From February 2021 to February 2022,70 patients with cancer-related insomnia related to qi and blood deficiency who received outpatient or inpatient treatment at the People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were screened and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group,with 35 cases in each group.Control group: On the basis of conventional supportive treatment of western medicine,oral administration of Estazolam Tablets was given.Experimental group: On the basis of control group,oral treatment with the addition and reduction of Guipi Decoction was given,and the course of treatment was 14 days.The PSQI score,TCM syndrome score,anxiety and depression score,Piper fatigue score,KPS score and safety observation indexes of the two groups of patients were evaluated within one week before and after treatment.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 software.Results:1.Before treatment,there were no significant difference in baseline data such as gender,age,height,weight,BMI and disease condition between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable.2.Efficacy of insomnia:(1)The overall therapeutic effect: the total effective rate of insomnia treatment in the control group and the experimental group was 74.19% and 90.63%respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(2)Distribution of severity of insomnia: There were significant differences in the control group and the experimental group before and after treatment;there are significant differences between the groups after treatment(P<0.05);(3)PSQI score: Before and after treatment,all PSQI scores in the two groups showed a downward trend except for hypnotic drugs,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).However,in terms of sleep quality,sleep time,sleep efficiency,and daytime dysfunction,the experimental group had a better score reduction effect than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total PSQI scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),but the PSQI total score of the experimental group decreased more significantly after treatment(P<0.05),and there was a significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).3.TCM syndrome scores:There were intra-group significant differences between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05);there was a significant difference between the groups after treatment(P<0.05),and the test group had better score reduction effect(P<0.05);The total effective rate of syndromes in the control group and the experimental group was 6.45% and 71.88% respectively,and the difference was statistically significant.4.Anxiety and depression scores: There were intra-group significant differences in SAS and SDS scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05);there were significant differences between groups in the comparison of SAS and SDS scores after treatment(P<0.05),and The test group had better score reduction effect(P<0.05).5.Piper fatigue score: There was no significant difference in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05);there was a significant difference in the experimental group before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the fatigue score showed a downward trend after treatment.6.KPS score: There was no significant difference in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05);there was a significant difference in the experimental group before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the KPS score showed an upward trend after treatment.7.Adverse reactions: 3 cases of drowsiness in the control group and 1 case of constipation in the experimental group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Addition and reduction of Guipi Decoction in the treatment of CRI patients with qi-blood deficiency can enhance the clinical treatment effect of insomnia,help to improve sleep quality,prolong sleep time,improve sleep efficiency,and relieve daytime dysfunction.2.Addition and reduction of Guipi Decoction has certain advantages in improving the symptoms of qi and blood deficiency in CRI patients.3.Addition and reduction of Guipi Decoction can help to further relieve anxiety and depression in CRI patients,reduce the degree of fatigue,improve the quality of life,and the incidence of adverse reactions is low.
