Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Gushukang capsule combined with Vesselplasty(VP)in treating primary osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures(OVCF)with renal deficiency and blood stasis,providing more options and basis for clinical treatment.Methods:From December 2020 to December 2021,the study subjects were admitted to the Orthopedics Department of the People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,patients diagnosed with primary OVCF with kidney deficiency and blood stasis and completed VP,a total of 81 cases were included,and were randomly divided into:(1)Control group: Calcium Gluconate Tablets + Calcitriol Soft Capsules(Luo Gai Quan);(2)Experimental group: Gushukang capsule were added on the basis of the control group.Both groups took 1 month as a course of treatment,stopped for 2 days after reaching the course of treatment,and treated 6 courses.Record preoperative,postoperative 3 days,3 months,6months visual analogue scale(VAS)and preoperative 6 months after osteocalcin(OC),β-collagen special series(β-crosslaps),total type I collagen amino-end elongation peptide(Total-PINP),bone density(BMD)levels,The recurrence of adjacent vertebral body fractures caused by non-high-energy injuries 6 months after surgery,the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine,and all the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS20.0 software.Results:General data: there was no significant difference in age,sex,course of disease,degree of compression of injured vertebrae,distribution of injured vertebrae,classification of fracture,body mass index(Body Mass Index,BMI),VAS score,TCM syndrome score,BMD and bone transformation markers(bone turnover biomarkers,BTMs)between the two groups before operation.1.VAS score:(1)comparison within the group:(1)in the control group,all time points after operation were lower than those before operation,and there was no significant difference between 3 months and 6 months after operation,but there was significant difference at other time points(P<0.05).(2)in the experimental group,the values at each time point after operation were lower than those before operation,and showed a downward trend as a whole,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)comparison between groups: there was no significant difference between the two groups at 3 days and 3 months after operation(P>0.05),but the degree of pain in the test group was significantly lower than that in the control group 6 months after operation(P<0.05).2.Clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine: six months after operation,the total effective rate of the control group was 73.7%,and that of the experimental group was 87.5%.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).3.BTMs: six months after operation,(1)comparison within the group:(1)OC was higher and β-Crosslaps were lower in the control group than before operation,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Total-PINP was higher than that before surgery,and there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).(2)in the experimental group,OC and Total-PINP increased and β-crosslaps decreased compared with those before operation.(2)comparison between groups: OC and Total-PINP in the test group were higher than those in the control group,while β-crosslaps was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.BMD: 6 months after operation,(1)the BMD in the two groups was higher than that before operation,but there was no significant difference in the control group,while there was statistical significance in the experimental group(P<0.05).(2)the BMD in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group.5.New fractures of the adjacent vertebrae:Six months after surgery,there was 1 case of new fracture in the experimental group(2.5%),and 2 cases of new fracture in the control group(5.3%).There was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Gushukang capsule combined with Vesselplasty is safe and effective in the treatment of kidney deficiency and blood stasis OVCF,and plays a certain role in improving osteoporosis syndrome,regulating bone metabolism and increasing bone mineral density,which is worthy of clinical application.
