ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with ulnar nerve preposition in the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome with blood stasis and obstruction, and to study the clinical significance of the combination of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions and surgery.Treatment offers a new way of thinking.MethodsSelected from 2020-12 to 2021-12 in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology,People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,a total of80 patients with cubital tunnel syndrome of blood stasis and paralysis who met the inclusion criteria of this topic, and randomly assigned the patients using the random number table method.Divided into experimental group and control group,40 cases in each group.Control group: ulnar nerve preposition + neurotrophic agent(oral methylcobalamin);experimental group: ulnar nerve preposition + neurotrophic agent(oral methylcobalamin)+ Shentong Zhuyu decoction(decoction in the hospital, one dose per day, divided into two bags after decoction, warm in the morning and evening for 4 weeks)According to Gu Yudong’s cubital tunnel syndrome function scoring standard, the electromyography(SCV,MCV)of the ulnar nerve above and below the elbow was measured before surgery,4 weeks after surgery, and 8 weeks after surgery. The evaluation criteria were used to evaluate the overall efficacy. The data of each group were analyzed by SPSS26.0software.Results1.There was no significant difference in the general conditions(age, gender, course of disease, disease site, disease severity)and various observation indicators(Gu Yudong cubital tunnel syndrome functional score,SCV,MCV)between the two groups of patients before surgery(P> 0.05),which is comparable.2.Ulnar nerve function score: according to Gu Yudong’s cubital tunnel syndrome function evaluation standard.Intra-group comparison: The ulnar nerve function scores in the4 th and 8th weeks after surgery were improved in both groups compared with those before surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups:At the 4th and 8th week after surgery, the ulnar nerve function scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The EMG of the ulnar nerve above the elbow and the lower elbow: comparison within the group: the SCV and MCV of the two groups at the 4th and 8th weeks after the operation were significantly improved compared with those before the operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups: At the 4th and 8th week after surgery, the improvement of SCV and MCV in the experimental group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Evaluation of the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine: in the 8th week after the operation, both groups achieved good curative effect, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 92.5%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 77.5%.After testing,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.ConclusionsCompared with the use of ulnar nerve preposition and neurotrophic agent alone, the clinical efficacy of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with ulnar nerve preposition plus neurotrophic agent in the treatment of blood stasis and obstruction type cubital tunnel syndrome is more significant. After releasing ulnar nerve entrapment,it can accelerate the electrophysiological repair of damaged nerve, promote the recovery of ulnar nerve function, shorten the course of treatment, and improve the curative effect, which is worthy of promotion.
