Willingness To Choose And Pay For Hospital Care Center Services Among Hospitalized Cancer Patients In Y Hospital

BackgroundMalignant tumor has become the main disease endangering the health of Chinese residents,cancer patients due to the characteristics of the disease,treatment and other reasons,there is a great need for hospital care,cancer patients in hospital care needs can not be ignored.Most hospitals in China lack nursing human resources and do not have the conditions to carry out unaccompanied care.The reduction of family size and the acceleration of industrialization in China have brought a certain impact on the model of family care.At the same time,long-term hospitalization care bring heavy burden to family caregivers.However,self-employed paid caregivers have many negative problems,which bring negative effects to patients,their families and hospital management.Therefore,the study of inpatient hospitalized cancer patients willingness to choose and pay for hospital care center services is of great practical significance to meet the care needs of hospitalized cancer patients,reduce the care burden of family caregivers,alleviate the negative impact of Y hospital due to insufficient nursing staff,,and improve patient satisfaction.ObjectiveTo understand the present situation of nursing care of hospitalized cancer patients and the basic situation of their willingness to choose and pay for hospital care center services,based on Andersen behavior model,explore the factors affecting hospitalized cancer patients willingness to choose and pay,and provide scientific basis for Y hospital to carry out hospital care center services,Provide reference for the opening and development of related businesses in other hospitals.MethodsIn this study,a multi-stage stratified,proportional,random sampling method was adopted,and a total of 500 valid questionnaires were collected.Descriptive analysis was carried out on the tendency factors,enabling factors,demand factors,present situation of nursing care,service choice intention and payment intention of the nursing center in hospital.The single factor Chi-square test was used to analyze the choice intention.On this basis,the influencing factors of choice intention were analyzed by binary Logistic regression.Non-parametric test is used to analyze willingness to pay.According to the results,multiple linear regression is used to study the influencing factors of willingness to pay.ResultsAmong the 500 hospitalized cancer patients,men accounted for 55.6%and women accounted for 44.4%;among the marital status,the hospitalized cancer patients with spouses accounted for the highest proportion,accounting for 94.4%of the total number;the most hospitalized cancer patients seeking medical treatment in different places in the province,accounting for 82.6%of the total number;the hospitalized cancer patients who did not undergo surgical treatment were the most,accounting for 61.8%of the total number.Among the 476 inpatient caregivers of inpatient cancer patients,the majority were female,aged 50-59 years old,educated at primary/junior high school,non-working,and had a monthly income of less than 1,000 yuan;most inpatient cancer patients were very satisfied with their caregivers,Accounted for 74%of the total number of people;dissatisfaction with the care is mainly due to the inability to relieve bad emotions,accounting for 70%of the total number;the main reason for being dissatisfied with the care was the boredom of the cares,accounting for 33.3%of the total number.The proportion of hospitalized cancer patients who choose the service of the hospital care center is 40%.When inpatient cancer patients are willing to choose the service of the hospital care center,the most concerned aspect is the quality of the nurses,accounting for 26.8%;the second is the quality of service,accounting for 18.5%;the service fee is 17.9%;the qualifications of the nurses are 15.9%;The effect was 14.3%;the caregiver characteristic was 6.0%;the other was 0.6%.Based on Andersen’s behavior model,the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to choose hospital care center service were analyzed.Among the propensity factors,employment status and service attitude toward hospital care center were the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to choose hospital care center service;Among the energy factors,monthly income,commercial medical insurance,and family members’ attitude towards using the service of the hospital care center are the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to choose the service of the hospital care center;among the demand factors,the inpatient department is the inpatient cancer patient’s willingness to choose the service of the hospital care center.influencing factors.The average willingness to pay for the 12-hour service of the hospital care center for inpatient cancer patients was 137.60 yuan,and the median was 130 yuan.The average willingness to pay for the 24-hour service of the hospital care center for inpatient cancer patients was 211.30 yuan,and the median was 180 yuan.Based on Andersen’s behavior model,the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to pay for the hospital care center service were analyzed.Monthly income,out-of-town medical treatment,and whether surgery are the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to pay for the 12-hour service in the hospital care center;education level,monthly Income and medical treatment in different places are the influencing factors of willingness to pay for 24-hour service in hospital care center for inpatient cancer patients.Conclusions and SuggestionsConclusions:This study found that the caregivers of hospitalized cancer patients in Y Hospital were mainly female,middle-aged,low education level,unemployed and low income.Inpatients with cancer have a certain demand for hospital care center services.The quality of nursing staff,service quality and service cost are the most important factors for inpatients with cancer when they choose hospital care center.Employment status,attitude to hospital care center services,monthly income,commercial insurance,family members’ attitude to use hospital care center services,inpatient departments will affect the choice of hospitalized cancer patients.The willingness of inpatients to pay for 12-hour care service and 24-hour care service was relatively low.Monthly income,out-of-town medical treatment,and whether surgery are the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to pay for 12-hour care service;education level,monthly income,and out-of-town medical treatment are the influencing factors of inpatient cancer patients’ willingness to pay for 24-hour care service.Suggestions:Pay attention to groups of caregivers of inpatients with cancer to relieve the burden of care;Guided by the needs of inpatient cancer patients,promote the development of nursing center in Y Hospital;Strengthen the construction of nursing staff,improve the quality and service ability of nursing staff;Pay attention to the financial burden of patients and establish reasonable cost standards;Strengthen the publicity of the care center and improve the recognition of the services of patients and their families;Pay attention to the characteristics of potential users and meet diverse service needs.
