The Effect Of Mongolian Medicine Gurigumu-13 On Optic Nerve Protection In Primary Glaucoma

Objective: To provide basis for clinical study and application of Gurigumu-13 in the treatment of primary glaucoma optic nerve protection.Methods : All the patients in this study were enrolled from the ophthalmology department of Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities Affiliated Hospital from December 2020 to December 2021,60 patients(60 eyes)who met the inclusion criteria and were randomly divided into treatment group(30 eyes in 30 cases)and control group(30 eyes in 30 cases),aged 40～60 years old.The intraocular pressure of the patients was controlled within the normal range.On the basis of iop lowering therapy,patients in the treatment group were given Gurigumu-13 orally,and patients in the control group were given mecobalamin tablets orally.The best corrected visual acuity,iop,thickness of optic nerve fiber layer,cup/disc,visual acuity and mean visual field defect were reviewed before and three months after treatment.SPSS26.0 software package was used for statistical data processing and statistical analysis of the data.Results:(1)the general data of patients in the two groups showed no significant changes in the mean defect of cup/plate and visual field before and after treatment.(2)Compared with the visual acuity before treatment,the thickness and visual acuity of optic nerve fiber layer in two groups were significantly improved(P<0.05),and the effect of the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Gurigumu-13 can effectively protect the optic nerve function of glaucoma and prevent further narrowing of visual field.The effect of Gurigumu-13 is better than mecobalamine tablets,which is worthy of clinical application.
