Objective:To evaluate the safety of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)in the diagnosis of pancreatic space occupying lesions, and to analyze the relationship between the occurrence of related adverse events and indicators. Methods:A total of 469 patients diagnosed with pancreatic spaceoccupying lesions and perfected EUS-FNA examinations in the First Affiliat-ed Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from January 2015 to Decem-ber 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. In these cases, there are 264 cases with complete data and in line with the enrollment. The patient’s age, gender, preoperative serum amylase, preoperative white blood cell count, serum amylase 2 hours postoperatively, white blood cell count 2 hours postoperatively, serum amylase24 hours postoperatively, white blood cell count 24 hours postoperatively and other data were collected. The auth-or used multivariate logistics regression analysis to understand the relevant factors affecting adverse events after EUS-FNA.Results: Among the 264 patients,25 patients had adverse events with mainly hyperamylasemia and abdominal pain,no serious complications such as postoperative acute pancreatitis, pancreatic fistula, gastrointestinal perforation, and gastrointestinal bleeding, with an incidence rate of 9.4%.Among them, there were 17 patients(6.4%)with abdominal pain and 8 patients(3.0%)with hyperamylasemia.Among the patients with hyperamy-lasemia,6 patients(2.2%)appeared 2 hours postoperatively, and the other 2 patients(0.7%)appeared 24 hours postoperatively. The patients with adverse events were divided into hyperamylasemia group and abdominal pain group.Multivariate logistic regression analysis of the two groups fo-und that patients with high preoperative serum amylase were more likely to have hyperamylasemia than patients with low preoperative serum amy-lase,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).When preop-erative serum amylase increases by a unit, the probability of hyperamylas-emia increases by 1.2%(OR=1.012).Conclusion: The main adverse events in patients after EUS-FNA were abdominal pain and hyperamylasemia. There were no serious complicati ons such as postoperative acute pancreatitis, gastrointestinal perforation, hemorrhage, and needle implant transfer.Hyperamylasemia after EUS-FN A usually occurs within 2 hours postoperatively. The application of EUS-FNA in pancreatic space-occupying lesions is safe.
